New Nissan Magnite Achieves E20 Compliance and 50,000 Export Milestone

Gurugram – Nissan Motor India has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable mobility by making the New Nissan Magnite BR10 (naturally aspirated engine) fully E20 compliant. This follows the E20 compatibility of its 1.0L HR10 turbocharged petrol engine, achieved in August 2024. With this upgrade, all powertrain options of the New Nissan Magnite now support E20 fuel, contributing to reduced carbon emissions and enhanced sustainability.

Export Success: 50,000 Units Shipped Worldwide

Nissan Motor India has marked a significant achievement with 50,000 units of the Nissan Magnite exported since its inception. As part of its India growth strategy, Nissan has enhanced both domestic and international sales, positioning India as a key global export hub. The launch of the Left-Hand Drive (LHD) variant in January 2025 has further accelerated the company’s export growth, with shipments reaching various international markets.

February 2025 Sales Performance

In February 2025, Nissan recorded consolidated wholesale dispatches of 8,567 units, with a strong focus on export shipments:

  • Domestic Sales: 2,328 units
  • Exports: 6,239 units, marking a 97% year-on-year growth compared to February 2024 (3,163 units)

This surge highlights the growing demand for the Magnite in global markets, reinforcing Nissan’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Global Expansion and Strategic Vision

In January 2025, Nissan commenced exports of the LHD Nissan Magnite, dispatching nearly 2,900 units from Chennai’s Kamarajar Port (KPL – Ennore) to Latin America. February exports further expanded with:

  • Over 2,000 units shipped to the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia Pacific.
  • More than 5,100 LHD units sent to select Latin American markets.
  • Total LHD exports surpassed 10,000 units by February-end.

This aligns with Nissan’s ‘One Car, One World’ strategy, strengthening India’s position as a crucial manufacturing and export base for the automaker.

Industry-Leading Features and Global Presence

Currently available in over 65 countries, the Nissan Magnite continues to gain popularity in both Right-Hand Drive (RHD) and Left-Hand Drive (LHD) markets. With its:

  • Bold Design & Road Presence
  • 20+ First & Best-in-Segment Features
  • 55+ Safety Features

The SUV remains a strong contender in the compact SUV segment, offering a premium driving experience.

Leadership Statement

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, stated:

“The New Nissan Magnite continues to make its mark both in India and globally, crossing the milestone of 50,000 export sales. This underscores the trust in Nissan’s commitment to quality, innovation, and performance. With full E20 compliance, we are reinforcing our vision for future-ready mobility solutions. The Magnite’s evolution is a testament to our dedication to the Indian market and beyond.”

Future Prospects

With growing demand and enhanced production capabilities, Nissan is set to further strengthen its footprint in domestic and international markets. As the company embraces cleaner fuel options and expands its global reach, the New Nissan Magnite remains at the forefront of innovation, sustainability, and market leadership.
