BYD India Teams Up with ASDC to Inspire Young Innovators through EV Innovate-A-Thon

New Delhi, India: BYD India, a subsidiary of the global New Energy Vehicles (NEV) leader, has announced the launch of the EV Innovate-A-Thon, in partnership with the Automotive Skill Development Council (ASDC). This groundbreaking initiative aims to ignite creativity, innovation, and sustainability among engineering students across India.

A Platform for Future Innovators

The EV Innovate-A-Thon is designed to provide engineering students with a platform to showcase their talents and drive the future of electric vehicle technology. The competition will be held in three stages: a preliminary online quiz, a digital prototype round, and a final stage involving the creation of physical prototypes and sales presentations. The initiative is open to students from select engineering institutes across India.

Exciting Prizes and Opportunities

The top three teams will be awarded significant prizes, with the winning team receiving a week-long visit to BYD headquarters in Shenzhen. This visit will include sessions with BYD’s R&D expert team, providing invaluable insights and inspiration. Additionally, the winners will receive a monetary reward to help them realize their sustainable technology dreams.

Leadership Speaks

Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles at BYD India, expressed his excitement about the initiative. “India is brimming with young innovators ready to create solutions for a better future. Through the EV Innovate-A-Thon, we aim to inspire and encourage students in the EV space. Their passion and creativity are crucial in shaping a sustainable tomorrow.”

F R Singhvi, President of ASDC, echoed these sentiments, stating, “We believe this initiative will inspire students to embrace an innovative mindset and prepare them to create a sustainable future. This platform will allow them to showcase their innovation and sustainability skills.”

Driving EV Adoption in India

BYD India continues to lead in driving EV adoption globally and offers a range of electric vehicles in India, including the All-New e6, BYD ATTO 3, and BYD SEAL. The company has also recently launched new variants of the BYD ATTO3 model in India, catering to a diverse customer base.
