Renault Kiger Evolution+ Launched From ₹6.99 Lakh With More Premium Features

New Delhi: Renault India has expanded the Kiger line-up with four new variants across its naturally aspirated and turbocharged petrol powertrains, aiming to make turbo performance and premium features more accessible in the entry B-SUV segment.

With the update, the Renault Kiger Turbo now starts at ₹7.89 lakh, ex-showroom, which the company says makes it the most accessible turbo-powered SUV in the entry B-SUV segment. Renault has also introduced a new Evolution+ variant, priced from ₹6.99 lakh, ex-showroom, bringing several high-demand features to a lower price point.

The Evolution+ variant is available with both naturally aspirated and turbo powertrains. It adds features such as a Smart Access Card with Push Start/Stop, Automatic Climate Control, Wireless Smartphone Replication, Driver Seat Height Adjustment and light embossed fabric upholstery.

The move comes as competition in the compact SUV space continues to intensify, with buyers increasingly expecting more features without the invoice developing a personality of its own.

Commenting on the launch, Francisco Hidalgo, VP – Sales and Marketing – Renault India said, “At Renault, our focus has always been on making innovation and mobility more accessible to customers. With the New Kiger range, we are taking this commitment further by bringing turbo performance, premium features, and greater choice within easier reach. As customer expectations continue to evolve, accessibility today goes beyond price—it is about enabling a more complete and rewarding ownership experience. This update reflects our effort to democratise features and technologies that matter most, while staying true to Kiger’s core promise of performance.”

Renault said the revised Kiger range follows a more streamlined variant strategy, offering buyers wider choice across price points, powertrains and feature combinations.

The turbocharged Kiger line-up has now been expanded from three to five variants. Renault has also added a 5-speed manual transmission option to the Techno variant with the turbo engine, giving customers a more attainable performance-focused choice.

The naturally aspirated range has also grown from six to eight variants, broadening the model’s appeal for customers looking for a balance of affordability, features and practicality.

The Renault Kiger continues to be positioned as a compact SUV with a focus on design, cabin space and urban usability. Key highlights include a 100 PS turbocharged petrol engine, X-Tronic CVT with D-Step technology, Mirror Bore Coating technology, and a claimed best-in-segment torque-to-weight ratio for the turbo engine.

The SUV also offers 205 mm ground clearance, 405 litres of boot space, 29 litres of cabin storage, 222 mm rear knee room and 710 mm front couple distance. It also gets functional roof bars with a 50 kg load capacity.

With the latest update, Renault is attempting to widen the Kiger’s reach in one of India’s most contested SUV segments. The strategy is clear: offer more variants, more features and more accessible turbo performance — because in the compact SUV market, choice is no longer a luxury, it is the entry ticket.
