Mercedes-Benz Accelerates Andhra Pradesh Expansion with New Vizag Showroom and CLA BEV Debut

Visakhapatnam just got a little more luxurious — and a lot more electric. Mercedes-Benz India has strengthened its footprint in Andhra Pradesh with the inauguration of a new state-of-the-art luxury showroom in Visakhapatnam, while simultaneously giving the city a glimpse of the future with the showcase of the all-new CLA BEV. Because apparently, opening a dealership alone wasn’t dramatic enough.

The new 1S luxury facility, launched in partnership with long-time franchise collaborator Silver Star, marks Mercedes-Benz India’s growing focus on emerging luxury markets across the country. Strategically located along the Chennai–Kolkata Highway at the Visakhapatnam Marriott by Fairfield, the showroom aims to bring the brand’s signature blend of luxury, technology and personalised customer experience closer to Andhra Pradesh’s rapidly growing premium car buyers.

Spanning around 2300 sq. ft., the showroom has been developed in just three months and follows Mercedes-Benz’s global Corporate Identity (CI) standards. Customers walking into the facility can expect immersive digital displays, curated consultation zones, personalised buying experiences and a premium ambience that feels less like a car showroom and more like a luxury lounge where the cars happen to cost more than some apartments.

Speaking on the inauguration, Brendon Sissing, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz India, said the company continues to deepen its presence across emerging Indian markets while bringing world-class products and retail experiences closer to customers.

He highlighted Visakhapatnam as an important growth market with an increasing base of discerning luxury customers and expressed confidence that the new Silver Star showroom would further strengthen Mercedes-Benz’s position in the region.

The launch also became the stage for the all-new CLA BEV, Mercedes-Benz’s latest electric vehicle that the company describes as its most intelligent and advanced EV yet. The showcase signals the brand’s push towards expanding luxury electric mobility in India, especially in cities beyond the traditional metro strongholds.

Amith Reddy, Managing Director of Silver Star, said the new facility has been designed to deliver an elevated ownership journey through immersive product experiences, premium hospitality and personalised customer interactions. He added that the showroom would further enhance Mercedes-Benz’s strong appeal among luxury buyers in the region.

The dealership is supported by a trained team of 15 professionals and includes a dedicated vehicle delivery bay to ensure customers receive their luxury cars with the sort of ceremony usually reserved for movie premieres.

The Visakhapatnam expansion is part of Mercedes-Benz India’s aggressive “Go to Customer” retail strategy for 2026. The luxury carmaker plans to add over 20 new MAR20X outlets across high-potential emerging markets while further strengthening its presence in metropolitan regions including Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi NCR.

Mercedes-Benz also confirmed that its franchise partners will invest ₹200 crore over the next two years to modernise and expand the retail network. The company plans to continue upgrading facilities to its global MAR20X format, integrating advanced technologies, AI-led solutions and automation into the luxury retail experience.

In short, Mercedes-Benz isn’t just selling cars anymore — it’s building luxury destinations. And with the CLA BEV quietly humming into Vizag, the future may arrive here before the traffic does.
