Sold Out in 135 Seconds, Now Back Again: Mahindra Revives BE 6 Batman Edition

Mumbai, March 6, 2026: In a move that proves the internet can sometimes summon more than just memes, Mahindra has officially announced the return of the BE 6 Batman Edition, the world’s first commercially available Batman-themed SUV. After the original run of 999 units vanished faster than Batman disappearing from Commissioner Gordon’s rooftop, the company has decided to reopen bookings for fans who missed their chance to join the Dark Knight’s driving squad.

When Mahindra first launched the BE 6 Batman Edition in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the response was nothing short of cinematic. The entire allocation of 999 units sold out in a breathtaking 135 seconds, proving that superhero fandom and electric SUVs are a surprisingly powerful combination. Since then, Mahindra’s social media has been flooded with hopeful fans asking for a second shot at owning what many now consider a collector’s item on wheels.

Mahindra clearly heard the Bat-Signal.

Bookings for the BE 6 Batman Edition reopen with the “Add Your Preference” window beginning March 6 on mahindraelectricsuv.com, followed by one-day bookings on March 10 at 11:00 AM. Deliveries are scheduled to begin April 10, giving lucky owners enough time to practice their dramatic slow-motion exits before stepping into their Gotham-inspired ride. Existing owners also get a superhero perk—referrals from current BE 6 Batman Edition owners will receive priority delivery, ensuring the Bat-community stays tight-knit.

The Batman Edition is based on the top-end Pack Three variant with the 79 kWh battery, but the real magic lies in its design details that make it look like it rolled straight out of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy. Draped in a stealthy custom Satin Black finish, the SUV carries subtle yet unmistakable Batman identity markers across its body. Bat emblems appear on hub caps, quarter panels, windows and even the rear bumper, while a dramatic Infinity Roof featuring the iconic Bat symbol ensures everyone knows whose side of justice you’re on.

Adding to the theatrical appeal are 20-inch alloy wheels, gold-painted suspension components and brake callipers in Mahindra’s distinctive Alchemy Gold finish. Together, they create a striking contrast against the black body—less “SUV in traffic” and more “Batmobile quietly judging every other car at the signal.”

Inside, the theme continues with a cockpit that feels somewhere between luxury lounge and superhero command centre. The dashboard features a brushed Alchemy Gold Batman Edition plaque, while charcoal leather panels and suede upholstery with gold stitching create a rich, dramatic interior. Bat emblems appear on seats, interior labels, and even the Boost button, just in case you want your acceleration to feel a little more heroic.

Mahindra has also added playful touches that fans will appreciate. The infotainment system greets occupants with a Batman Edition welcome animation, carpet lamps project the Bat emblem when doors open, and the SUV even comes with custom Batman-inspired exterior engine sounds—because sometimes saving the city requires a dramatic soundtrack.

While the first 999 vehicles will always remain the founding chapter of this special edition, Mahindra’s decision to reopen bookings creates a new opportunity for enthusiasts who missed the original drop. Judging by the previous sell-out speed, interested buyers may want to keep their browsers ready.

After all, in the world of limited-edition cars and superhero fandom, hesitation can mean one thing: someone else gets the Batmobile.
