MG Motor India Clocks 24% Growth in February 2026; Majestor Leads the Charge with Big SUV Energy

Gurugram: JSW MG Motor India has shifted into a higher gear this February, registering a robust 24% year-on-year growth compared to the same month last year. The company recorded 4,957 wholesale units in February 2026, reflecting steady demand across both its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicle (EV) portfolios.

In an automotive market that often swings between cautious optimism and festive enthusiasm, this growth signals consistent consumer confidence in the brand’s evolving product lineup. From tech-laden EVs to muscular SUVs, MG’s garage seems to be attracting both city commuters and weekend adventurers alike.

The Majestor Arrives — And It’s Not Subtle

The headline-grabber this month, however, is the introduction of India’s first D+ SUV — the MG Majestor.

And no, this isn’t just another SUV claiming to be “big.” The Majestor proudly wears the crown of being the Longest, Widest, and Tallest in its segment. If SUVs had gym memberships, this one clearly hasn’t skipped leg day.

Built for serious off-road enthusiasts, the Majestor comes equipped with first-in-segment Triple Differential Locks (front, rear, and centre), paired with an Advanced 4WD system featuring 10 off-road modes and Crawl Control Mode. In simple terms: whether it’s rocky trails, sand dunes, or steep inclines, this SUV doesn’t just handle terrain — it negotiates with it.

Peace of Mind, Packed in 5-5-5

Beyond brute capability, MG has wrapped the Majestor in what it calls the “Complete Peace of Mind Program.” The industry-leading 5-5-5 package includes:

  • 5-Year Unlimited KM Warranty
  • 5-Year Roadside Assistance
  • 5 Labour-Free Services

For buyers who like their adventure served with assurance, this package adds long-term ownership confidence to the SUV’s rugged personality.

Customers can now pre-book the Majestor at INR 41,000, signaling strong early interest in what could become one of the segment’s most talked-about launches of 2026.

Momentum Across ICE and EV

While the Majestor brings a new dimension to MG’s SUV strategy, the overall 24% growth reflects balanced traction across the company’s ICE and EV offerings. With India’s EV transition accelerating and premium SUVs continuing to dominate aspirational buying trends, MG appears to be playing on both ends of the spectrum — and scoring.

As the financial year nears its close, February’s performance suggests that JSW MG Motor India isn’t just participating in the market — it’s steadily expanding its footprint. And with SUVs growing bigger and warranties growing longer, Indian customers seem more than ready for the ride.
