After planting its flag with the Tesla Center in Gurugram, Elon Musk’s electric brigade has now done what every Tesla owner waits for eagerly — plug in. Tesla has officially inaugurated its first Tesla Charging Station in Gurugram, located at DLF Horizon Center, marking another decisive step in India’s rapidly evolving sustainable mobility story.
Think of it as Tesla moving from “coming soon” to “charging now.”
The newly commissioned Supercharging site, strategically positioned in the surface parking area at Horizon Center, is equipped with four V4 Superchargers delivering peak charging speeds of up to 250 kW, along with three Destination Chargers offering 11 kW charging. In simpler terms: whether you’re grabbing a coffee or planning a highway dash, Tesla has you covered.

To put things in perspective, a Tesla Model Y can add up to 275 km of range in just 15 minutes — enough to comfortably point your bonnet towards Jaipur’s Hawa Mahal without a second thought. The brand’s signature “Plug In, Charge and Go” experience, backed by a claimed 99.95% uptime, ensures charging anxiety stays firmly in the past.
Tesla’s ecosystem, as always, does most of the heavy lifting. Through the Tesla app, owners can navigate to the station, pre-condition their vehicle, check stall availability, monitor charging progress, receive notifications when charging is complete, and make payments — all without juggling apps or patience.
With the commissioning of this Gurugram site, Tesla now operates three charging stations across India, collectively featuring 12 Superchargers and 10 Destination Chargers. It may sound modest today, but every EV revolution begins with a socket.
To make things even more engaging, Tesla has invited residents of Gurugram to experience its charging technology firsthand. From December 17 to 21, the company will host interactive workshops at the Horizon Center charging station on Golf Course Road, offering live demonstrations of Superchargers and Destination Chargers, along with insights into electric mobility and sustainable energy solutions. Think less lecture, more live demo — with electrons involved.
This charging station follows closely on the heels of the Tesla Center launch in Gurugram and signals a clear intent: Tesla isn’t just selling cars, it’s building an ecosystem. With Model Y now available in India starting at ₹59.89 lakh, along with comprehensive home charging support, Tesla aims to make EV ownership as seamless as possible — minus the petrol pump queues and plus a lot more silence.
As Tesla quietly hums its way into India’s urban landscape, Gurugram has become the latest city to discover that the future doesn’t roar — it simply plugs in and goes.
