Solis Unveils JP 975: More Torque, More Gears, More Reasons for Farmers to Smile

New Delhi: Solis, the flagship brand of International Tractors Limited (ITL) and India’s No. 1 tractor exporter, has decided that 2025 is the year Indian farming officially enters its “next-gen” era. With the launch of the brand-new Solis JP 975, the company has not only introduced a new tractor—it has practically given Indian farmers a tech upgrade worthy of a sci-fi film. Built from scratch on an all-new platform, the JP 975 is designed to empower the Viksit Kisan with features that even some cars would envy.

A NEW PERFORMANCE STANDARD FOR INDIAN FARMS

Under the hood (or should we say, under the bonnet of brilliance) sits the JP Tech 4-cylinder engine, delivering up to 10% higher torque, maxing out at a muscular 205 Nm. In tractor language, that translates to “Bring your heaviest workload, I’ll handle it before tea break.”

But the real headline-grabber is the introduction of India’s first 15F + 5R Epicyclic Transmission in this segment. Yes, fifteen forward and five reverse gears—enough combinations to make even seasoned drivers feel like they’ve unlocked “Tractor Manual Transmission Pro Mode.” Paired with side-shift gears and five optimal working speeds, the JP 975 is ready for everything from tilling and rotavating to loader work and haulage.

Helping farmers glide through the field is the new Smart Shuttle system, which allows quick, smooth, jerk-free directional changes. No more abrupt back-and-forth motions that make you spill your morning chai.

Solis has also fitted the JP 975 with a ladder-type chassis, ensuring better stability, reduced vibration, and significantly lower noise—all crucial if you’re spending long hours farming or peacefully listening to your favourite Bhojpuri hits while ploughing.

A FUTURE-READY PLATFORM WITH FARMER-FIRST ENGINEERING

Speaking at the national launch, Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director, International Tractors Limited, said:
“The launch of the advanced Solis JP 975 marks a decisive step in our mission to bring next-generation tractor technologies to Indian farmers. The JP 975 is the first model in our completely new JP series, built on a future-ready platform designed around the evolving needs of the progressive Indian farmer.”

He further added that the combination of the JP Tech engine and the 15F+5R transmission sets a new benchmark in power, comfort and application versatility. And the excitement doesn’t end here—Solis plans to roll out an entire fleet of tractors built on this advanced platform over the next 12 months. In other words, the fields better buckle up.

THE TAKEAWAY? A TRACTOR BUILT FOR TOMORROW, AVAILABLE TODAY

With the Solis JP 975, farming gets a strong dose of modern engineering—more power, more comfort, more efficiency, and yes, more gears than most people know what to do with.

If India is marching towards Viksit Bharat, the JP 975 is certainly helping farmers drive there—quite literally.
