JSW MG Motor India Powers Ahead: 32% YTD Growth Fueled by Luxury EV Fever and Cyberster Mania

Gurugram — JSW MG Motor India has buckled itself into the fast lane for CY 2025, recording a robust 32% year-to-date (YTD) wholesale growth between January and November compared to the same period in 2024. The brand moved 5,754 units in November alone—proving that MG customers didn’t just enjoy the festive season; they stocked their garages like Diwali firework shelves.

The impressive growth comes from a balanced portfolio performance across both ICE and EV models, showing that MG has mastered the art of appealing to the old-school petrol faithful and the new-age EV evangelists alike. With customer sentiment tilting toward premium experiences and new-age mobility, MG is riding the wave… and making sure it’s electric where it counts.

But the real showstopper continues to be MG Select, the brand’s luxury retail channel. Launched with a clear mission to modernize India’s premium EV experience, Select has officially crossed the 1,000-unit sales milestone, cementing its place as India’s second-largest player in the luxury EV segment. In an industry where exclusivity often means “sold out,” Select seems to have cracked the code.

Much of the glamour belongs to MG’s two crown jewels:

  • MG M9 Presidential Limousine, which has redefined the boardroom-on-wheels concept and likely caused an uptick in tinted-window sightings across upscale urban districts.
  • MG Cyberster, India’s highest-selling sportscar—an all-electric roadster with performance so addictive that enthusiasts are patiently queuing for 4–5 months. It turns out that nothing makes you feel more alive than waiting for an EV that accelerates to 100 km/h faster than your WhatsApp group can spam “Congrats, bro!”

For now, JSW MG Motor India is cruising with momentum, and if this trajectory continues, the brand might have to install a dedicated “Sorry, we’re still delivering” sign at Select dealerships. The message to rivals, however, is loud and clear: in the race for India’s luxury EV market, MG isn’t just participating—it’s already chasing the podium.
