Swedish Steel Meets Indian Silicon: HCLTech to Turbocharge Digital Engines of Global CV Giant

STOCKHOLM and NOIDA — When one of the world’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturers — headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden — needed to shift its digital foundation into top gear, it didn’t just call a mechanic. It renewed and expanded its long-standing alliance with HCLTech, the global technology powerhouse known for making IT infrastructures hum like finely tuned engines.

Under a new multi-year contract, HCLTech will modernize and supercharge the Swedish major’s IT backbone. The mission: to enable one-click provisioning of IT services, bring hyper-automation to the shop floor (and server rooms), and set a new benchmark for operational efficiency — all powered by HCLTech’s proprietary GenAI-led platform, “AI Force.”

The result? A digital foundation that’s smarter, faster, and a lot more sustainable. Think of it as upgrading from a reliable diesel truck to a futuristic, AI-driven electric hauler — minus the exhaust fumes.

“We are delighted to be a trusted digital transformation partner and contribute to the client’s growth strategy. We look forward to leveraging our full-stack technology portfolio to build a future-ready digital foundation,” said Jagadeshwar Gattu, President, Digital Foundation Services, HCLTech.

The collaboration isn’t new — it’s more like renewing vows after years of successful road trips together. Only this time, they’re adding a few turbochargers.

“This renewal and expanded scope reflect the strong foundation we’ve built together over the years,” added Pankaj Tagra, Corporate Vice President, HCLTech. “It further reinforces HCLTech’s leadership in the global automotive vertical, which is among our key growth areas.”

With trucks, buses, and construction equipment rolling off assembly lines in Sweden, and digital engines revving in India, this partnership is a reminder: when precision engineering meets AI innovation, the road ahead looks remarkably smooth — and maybe even a little fun.
