Citroën Turns Up the Heat: Pre-Bookings Open for Basalt X Range at Just ₹11,000

Citroën’s ‘Shift Into the New’ 2.0 strategy now comes with new interiors, new features, and just enough suspense to keep everyone guessing.

Chennai — Citroën India has officially opened pre-bookings for its much-anticipated Basalt X range, giving customers the chance to lock in their next SUV for just ₹11,000. The move is part of the brand’s broader ‘Citroën 2.0 – Shift Into the New’ strategy, which is less about replacing the old and more about redefining what “new” really means in India’s mobility space.

The Basalt X has been teased with fresh interiors and upgraded intelligence features, giving drivers more reasons to swap their weekend playlist from “Highway to Hell” to “Comfortably Numb.” Citroën says it has carefully engineered the Basalt to deliver not only comfort and confidence but also the kind of intuitive user experience that makes you wonder how you ever put up with your old car yelling “low fuel” at the worst possible moment.

Kumar Priyesh, Business Head & Director – Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, remarked:
“The upcoming launch of the Basalt range marks an exciting chapter in our Citroën 2.0 strategy. With new intelligence feature upgrades, Basalt is crafted to deliver a more intuitive, comfortable, and confident driving experience. We’re thrilled to open pre-bookings and invite customers to experience the next evolution of Citroën in India.”

Pre-bookings can be made at any authorized Citroën dealership or directly via the Citroën India website. The process is simple, sleek, and—dare we say—probably quicker than explaining to your parents why the car you booked isn’t a Maruti.

A Shift That Means Business

The Basalt X isn’t just a car—it’s a statement that Citroën is here to stay and play in India. With customer feedback and market insights woven into its DNA, the Basalt is being positioned as a premium-yet-accessible SUV designed to appeal to a generation that wants their vehicles to be as smart as their smartphones.

For Citroën, this is not just another product launch; it’s the latest chess move in a long-term strategy to make the French marque a preferred, stylish, and tech-friendly brand for Indian buyers.

And if the teasers are anything to go by, the Basalt X is gearing up to be the SUV that might just make even your neighbour’s dog turn its head on morning walks.
