Shell India Turns the Engine Dial to 2025: New Helix Ultra, New Look, Same Ferrari-Sized Ambition

New Delhi – Shell India has officially popped the hood on its upgraded premium motor oil, Shell Helix Ultra, engineered to meet the brand-new 2025 API SQ Standard. Translation? Your engine just got an energy drink—minus the jitters and plus a Ferrari-approved swagger.

But the launch wasn’t just about science under the bonnet. Shell also unveiled a bold new packaging design for its iconic Helix range. Sleek, modern, and performance-led, the bottles are now as sharp-looking on the shelf as a Ferrari nose cone—minus the carbon-fibre price tag.

A Formula for More Power

At the core of Shell Helix Ultra’s upgrade is PurePlus Technology, which magically turns natural gas into 99.5% pure base oil. The results are the kind of stats that make car geeks’ hearts rev faster than a cold-start V8:

  • +1.8% more engine power
  • 3.4% quicker responsiveness
  • 100% engine power retention

Or, in human terms: smoother drives, fewer pit stops, and engines that feel younger than their warranty card.

Ferrari, BMW and a Pit Stop Party

The India launch wasn’t just another oil unveiling—it was a motorsport carnival. Fans cheered at a live Ferrari pit stop demo (blink and you’d miss it), and adrenaline junkies got behind the wheel in a BMW M Motorsports driving experience. Add a Fan Zone with interactive games, and suddenly motor oil had more hype than a new iPhone drop.

This also marked the Indian debut of Shell’s new global campaign “Unleash the Power Within”, featuring Scuderia Ferrari HP drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. Yes, Hamilton now endorses engine oil that promises fewer breakdowns—something Mercedes AMG engineers might want to note.

A Legacy on Full Throttle

“Today, we’re not just unveiling a more powerful product; we’re celebrating partnerships, performance, and progress,” said Amit Ghugre, Chief Marketing Officer, Shell India Lubricants, sounding every bit like a man who just dropped the hottest mixtape in the engine oil industry.

With 18 consecutive years as the world’s No. 1 lubricant supplier, Shell’s legacy is already running on high-octane credibility. The new Helix Ultra simply shifts that legacy into top gear.

Shell Helix Ultra is no longer just motor oil; it’s an engine’s life coach—keeping it powerful, responsive, and race-track ready. And with Ferrari, BMW, and Maruti Suzuki all in the garage, this new chapter feels less like a product launch and more like a victory lap.

Because in Shell’s world, your car’s engine doesn’t just run—it performs.
