Toyota’s July Drive: More Cars, More Airbags, and Just Enough Growth to Honk About

Bengaluru – Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has shifted into steady gear this July, clocking 32,575 units sold, a neat 3% rise over July 2024’s 31,656 units. Out of these, 29,159 units stayed home in India while 3,416 took a trip abroad, presumably with stamped passports and a yearning for global roads.

Commenting on the performance, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business, said, “We are pleased to report a growth of 3% in July 2025. Market acceptance has been consistent for us, which underscores our unwavering commitment to a customer-centric approach. Our focus will remain on serving the market with high-quality products and enhanced value-added services.”

While a 3% bump may not sound like fireworks, Toyota sprinkled the month with milestones that deserve confetti.

The Glanza and Urban Cruiser Hyryder strutted onto the scene with exclusive Limited Edition Prestige Packages, luring customers who like their hatchbacks and SUVs with a little extra garnish. Meanwhile, the Innova HyCross didn’t just ferry families—it earned itself a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, making it the overachiever at Toyota’s July family dinner. And in a move applauded by both parents and backseat naggers, Toyota also made six airbags standard across all Glanza variants, ensuring that even if your playlist choices cause turbulence, safety won’t.

With airbags inflated, sales inflated (slightly), and customer confidence inflated (happily), Toyota seems content cruising ahead. After all, in the auto world, growth is growth—even if it’s measured in careful inches rather than turbocharged leaps.
