Maruti Suzuki’s Service Saga: 5,500 Touchpoints and Still Revving!

Udaipur/New Delhi – If your car could throw a party, it would probably invite Maruti Suzuki. India’s most trusted carmaker just hit a major milestone by rolling out its 5,500th service touchpoint, this time in the picturesque city of Udaipur. So, whether you’re cruising through the desert dunes of Rajasthan or stuck in Delhi’s eternal traffic jam, rest assured—help is never far, and neither is a Maruti service bay.

The new facility was inaugurated with the full horsepower of leadership: Ram Suresh Akella and Yasuhiro Kawai from Maruti Suzuki’s Service division cut the ribbon (presumably with a torque wrench for thematic accuracy).

With 40,000 service bays now under its hood, Maruti Suzuki can theoretically service the entire population of Australia—if every Aussie happened to own a Swift. The company serviced a record-breaking 27 million vehicles in FY 2024-25, proving once again that if there’s one thing Indians love more than Bollywood, it’s reliable after-sales service.

Speaking at the occasion, Hisashi Takeuchi, MD & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, “Peace of mind is the ultimate luxury. Our growing service network ensures customers spend more time on the road and less time worrying about it.” He also emphasized that Maruti added 460 touchpoints in FY 2024-25, which is basically more frequent than your roommate doing the dishes.

Looking ahead, Maruti Suzuki plans to add another 500 touchpoints this fiscal year. That’s one new service centre every 17 hours—faster than most people finish binge-watching a web series.

So next time you hear someone say, “Gaadi ka service due hai,” tell them to relax—because chances are, there’s a Maruti Suzuki service bay around the corner… and probably another one coming up while you read this.
