Bentley Collector Caps Off Dream Garage with Ultra-Rare Le Mans Bentayga

(Crewe) – For Northern Ireland-based Bentley enthusiast Mark King, completing a collection is more than a personal milestone—it’s a tribute to Bentley’s racing legacy. King has just taken delivery of a bespoke Bentayga Apex Edition by Mulliner, tailored in full Le Mans Collection specification. This latest acquisition mirrors his limited-edition 2023 Le Mans Collection Continental GT, creating a unique, matching duo that’s as exclusive as it is evocative.

The delivery of the Apex Edition Bentayga marks the final chapter in a vision King has curated for years: a garage of meticulously selected, high-performance Bentleys, each with its own story. From a hard-driven Bentayga Speed with over 100,000 miles on the clock to a rare Continental GT3-R and a Flying Spur, his collection speaks to both passion and purpose.

But the new Apex Edition Bentayga is no ordinary SUV. One of only 20 examples hand-built by Mulliner, it’s finished in Verdant green with a Moonbeam racing stripe—an exclusive livery only offered to owners of the Le Mans Collection Continental GT or GT Convertible. The interior is equally striking, blending Beluga hide and Dinamica seat faces with vibrant Hotspur contrast stitching.

Based on the athletic Bentayga S, the Apex Edition boasts a 550 PS 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, Bentley Dynamic Ride, and rear-wheel steering. Performance is elevated further by 22” Mulliner carbon wheels—shaving 44 kg of unsprung mass—alongside carbon-ceramic brakes and a full carbon fibre body kit. It’s the most performance-focused Bentayga ever made, and in King’s words, “a worthy partner to the Le Mans GT.”

That GT, delivered in 2023, was Bentley’s homage to its historic 2003 Le Mans win—its sixth overall and first in 73 years. Dressed in Blackline trim and inspired by the victorious #7 Speed 8, it features racing visuals like a #7 grille badge, ten-spoke black wheels, red brake calipers, and a six-wreath emblem on the carbon fibre dash. The showpiece? A rotating display that reveals a real engine valve from the 2003 winning car—an extraordinary bridge between heritage and innovation.

For King, the arrival of the Apex Edition is more than a garage update—it’s a celebration of Bentley’s motorsport spirit, brought to life through craftsmanship, performance, and a collector’s singular vision.
