Maserati GT2 Stradale Stuns Yas Marina with High-Speed Overseas Debut

Abu Dhabi – Maserati ignited the Yas Marina Circuit with an electrifying two-day track event, marking the overseas debut of the GT2 Stradale. This exclusive gathering brought together over 100 esteemed guests, including GCC and international media, as well as select clients, to witness Maserati’s latest innovation in high-performance automotive engineering.

The prestigious W Hotel Abu Dhabi served as the base for attendees, offering breathtaking views of the track, further amplifying the motorsport ambiance. The event featured adrenaline-fueled track sessions, interactive experiences in the garage, and an up-close look at Maserati’s Folgore Formula E race car, set to compete in Season 11. Guests also explored Maserati’s Fuoriserie personalization program, utilizing the configurator station to customize their dream vehicles.

The GT2 Stradale: A Racing Icon Reimagined

The GT2 Stradale, a road-legal adaptation of the GT2 race car, took center stage, following its dominant performance in the 2024 Fanatec GT2 European Series Championship. The championship-winning race car clinched 16 pole positions, 12 victories, seven second-place finishes, and five third-place finishes, ultimately securing both the drivers’ and teams’ titles in the Am class.

Attendees experienced exhilarating hot laps in the GT2 Stradale, driven by a professional Maserati driver. Equipped with the formidable 640 CV Nettuno V6 engine, the GT2 Stradale rockets from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds, achieving a top speed of 324 km/h. With CORSA DRIVE MODE, it delivers an authentic track-level driving experience. Limited to 914 units in honor of Maserati’s founding year in 1914, the GT2 Stradale stands as a must-have collector’s edition.

Maserati’s Vision for Performance and Craftsmanship

Philippe Claverol, Head of Maserati Overseas Region, emphasized the significance of this launch:

“The GT2 Stradale embodies Maserati’s storied racing heritage and dedication to high-performance craftsmanship. Unveiling it at the Yas Marina F1 Circuit for its overseas debut underscores our commitment to pushing the boundaries of engineering and delivering unparalleled driving thrills to our clients.”

A Showcase of Maserati’s Best

Beyond the GT2 Stradale, Maserati showcased its full lineup of luxury performance vehicles. Guests had the opportunity to participate in an exclusive on-road driving experience in Abu Dhabi, featuring the Grecale SUV. On display were the GranTurismo Folgore, GranCabrio Trofeo, and MC20, all drawing admiration for their design and capabilities.

Guests also experienced test drives of the GranTurismo Trofeo and GranTurismo Modena. The Trofeo, powered by a 550 hp twin-turbo Nettuno V6, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 320 km/h. The Modena, with 490 hp, reaches 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, maxing out at 302 km/h. These models merge luxury with race-inspired performance, offering guests the chance to push their limits on the track.

Partners Elevating the Experience

Maserati’s distinguished partners played a pivotal role in enhancing the event:

  • Sonus Faber provided a high-fidelity sound experience in the garage, reflecting the premium audio system found in Maserati vehicles.
  • Sparco supplied top-tier helmets and safety gear, ensuring optimal protection during track sessions.
  • Bridgestone delivered outstanding grip and handling for Maserati’s lineup, maximizing performance on both track and road.

A Grand Finale at Cipriani Yas Marina

The event concluded with a Maserati-curated dinner at Cipriani Yas Marina, a tribute to Modena’s rich culinary heritage. Guests indulged in a four-course family-style meal, featuring Tortellini in Brodo and vanilla gelato drizzled with traditional balsamic vinegar – an authentic Modenese delicacy.

Maserati’s Commitment to Innovation and Excellence

Attended by Maserati’s leadership, including Philippe Claverol and Chief Commercial Officer Maurizio Zuares, the event reinforced the brand’s relentless pursuit of performance, craftsmanship, and innovation. The GT2 Stradale’s international debut at Yas Marina Circuit cements Maserati’s status as a leader in the world of high-performance luxury automobiles, delivering exhilarating experiences that honor its racing legacy.
