Driving the Future: FADA’s 13th Auto Summit 2025 Ushers in a New Era of Mobility

New Delhi – The 13th edition of the FADA Auto Summit commenced today with an ambitious theme: “Safe, Efficient & Sustainable: Shaping Tomorrow’s Mobility.” Organized by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), this annual gathering of automotive luminaries has solidified its reputation as the “Maha Kumbh” of India’s automobile retail industry. This year, the event witnessed over 1,800 participants, featuring 75 distinguished speakers across 20 thought-provoking sessions.

A Visionary Kickoff The summit was inaugurated with a stellar lineup of speakers, including H.D. Kumaraswamy, Hon’ble Union Minister for Heavy Industries, and Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, who joined virtually. They lauded India’s automotive sector for its transformative strides in safety, sustainability, and innovation.

Kumaraswamy highlighted the need for collective action, stating, “Safety, efficiency, and sustainability are not just industry goals but national imperatives. Together, we can reduce road accidents, advance cutting-edge manufacturing, and lead the global shift towards greener mobility.”

  • Safety First: The summit spotlighted advancements in road safety, emphasizing better infrastructure and integration of driver-assistance technologies.
  • Sustainability at the Forefront: With electric vehicle (EV) sales surging to 14,08,245 units in 2024, discussions centered on renewable energy solutions and reducing carbon footprints.
  • Efficiency in Growth: The automotive sector’s remarkable growth, with a 9% increase in vehicle sales, underscored India’s leadership in global mobility solutions.

Notable Sessions and Initiatives The summit’s agenda featured pivotal discussions, workshops, and launches, including:

  1. White Paper Launch: Insights into the evolving dynamics of auto dealerships and consumer behavior were unveiled.
  2. Panel Discussions: Leaders deliberated on topics ranging from road safety innovations to digital transformation in customer engagement.
  3. Workshops for Women and Youth: Sessions such as “Women in FADA” and “The Next Generation Riding the Automotive Wave” underscored the sector’s inclusivity and focus on future leaders.
  4. FADA Academy: The announcement of advanced certification programs and technical skill training centers emphasized the sector’s commitment to workforce development.

Honoring Excellence and Innovation The event recognized industry stalwarts, including Rajeev Chaba, CEO Emeritus of JSW MG Motor India, for their contributions to advancing innovation and growth in the automotive landscape.

Looking Ahead FADA President C.S. Vigneshwar concluded the inaugural session with an optimistic outlook: “Our shared responsibility is to ensure that India’s mobility future is sustainable, safe, and efficient. By embracing innovation and collaboration, we are not just shaping the industry but transforming lives.”
