JLR India Achieves Record-Breaking Sales with 36% Growth in H1 FY25

Luxury Carmaker Shatters Half-Yearly Sales Records Amid Strong Demand for Range Rover and Defender

Mumbai: Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India has hit a new milestone, recording its highest-ever half-yearly retail sales with a staggering 36% year-over-year (YoY) growth in the first half of fiscal year 2025 (H1 FY25). The company sold 3,214 units during this period, marking a significant boost in its market presence.

The second quarter of FY25 proved to be even more impressive, with sales surging by 41% compared to the same period last year, building on the 31% growth recorded in Q1 FY25. This remarkable performance is attributed to improved supply chains and sustained demand for JLR’s flagship models, particularly the locally manufactured Range Rover and Defender series.

“We are witnessing an extraordinary year,” said Rajan Amba, Managing Director of JLR India. “The decision to locally produce the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport has paid off, with orders increasing by 60%. The Defender’s 75% growth in H1 FY25 further highlights its soaring popularity. Our record-breaking sales reflect the strength of our product portfolio and strategic initiatives.”

Adding to this momentum, JLR India recently launched the India-inspired Bespoke SV, the limited-edition Ranthambore Edition, all 12 units of which were pre-booked within days of its announcement.

As India enters the festive season, JLR India is optimistic about maintaining its growth trajectory, with a strong order book and a customer-focused approach driving future success.
