Fiat Grande Panda Electric Launches in France and the Netherlands with Innovative Charging Solution

Fiat has officially opened orders for the all-new Grande Panda Electric in France and the Netherlands, offering customers a modern take on an iconic design inspired by the classic Panda of the 1980s. Developed at the FIAT Centro Stile in Turin, Italy, this B-segment electric vehicle aims to combine urban convenience with eco-friendly technology.

Impressive Range and Performance

The Fiat Grande Panda Electric is equipped with a 44 kWh battery, providing an impressive 320 km range on the WLTP combined cycle. An 83 kW e-motor (113 HP) powers the vehicle, ensuring efficient city commutes and longer weekend journeys. With a top speed of 132 km/h and the ability to accelerate from 0-50 km/h in just 4.2 seconds (and 0-100 km/h in 11 seconds), the Grande Panda delivers a balance of speed and efficiency. The vehicle consumes 174 Wh/km (17.4 kWh/100 km), making it an economical option for electric mobility.

World’s First Retractable Charging Cable

One of the standout features of the Grande Panda Electric is its integrated, retractable charging cable—an industry first. Housed under the hood without compromising trunk space, this innovative design keeps the charging experience neat and user-friendly, avoiding the mess associated with traditional cables.

The Grande Panda offers multiple charging options: a standard 7 kW AC charging cable that takes 3 hours and 43 minutes to charge from 20% to 80%, a faster 11 kW AC option requiring only 2 hours and 55 minutes, and a 100 kW DC charger that powers up the vehicle in just 33 minutes.

Two Versions Available

Fiat is introducing the Grande Panda Electric in two versions: the premium Grande Panda “La Prima” and the more affordable (Grande Panda)RED, with prices starting below €25,000 (INR 23.03 lakh). By launching first in France and the Netherlands, Fiat aims to provide customers with access to local governmental incentives, further enhancing the appeal of this new model.

Fiat plans to expand the availability of the Grande Panda Electric to additional markets worldwide, gradually covering other regions and giving more drivers the opportunity to experience this reimagined classic with state-of-the-art electric mobility features.
