Ram Unveils Limited Lunar Editions for Power Wagon and Rebel HD, Blending Unique Design and Unmatched Off-Road Performance
Auburn Hills, Mich., August 20, 2024 – Ram is set to close out the 2024 model year with an astronomical release: the Lunar-themed special editions of the Ram Power Wagon and Rebel Heavy Duty. These new models, set to land in dealerships by October, bring an exclusive design language inspired by the moon’s austere color palette and a host of rugged, off-road features.
The Lunar editions of the Power Wagon and Rebel HD showcase a striking Ceramic Grey exterior, accented by gloss black Lunar vinyl graphics. Enhancing their robust appearance, these trucks also feature two-tone black tow mirrors, powder-coated bumpers, wheel flares, and black badging. The Power Wagon sports 17-inch black wheels, while the Rebel HD rolls on 20-inch versions, both designed for tackling tough terrains.
Inside, the Lunar editions continue the celestial theme with Surf Blue stitching on black leather, and Twill Film accents inspired by the Ram TRX. The console lid/armrest is adorned with a special die-cast metal badge, proudly displaying either “Power Wagon” or “Rebel” in brushed Satin Chrome lettering. Modern tech touches include a wireless charging pad, making these Lunar models as advanced as they are capable.
Under the hood, the Power Wagon Lunar edition flexes its muscles with a 6.4L HEMI V-8 engine, delivering 410 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque. Its off-road prowess is further enhanced by front and rear locking differentials, a sway bar disconnect system, and a factory-installed 12k-pound Warn winch. This beast offers a towing capacity of up to 10,610 pounds, ensuring it’s more than ready to rescue a stranded Moon Buggy—or anything else in its path.
The Rebel HD Lunar edition doesn’t lag behind, boasting a 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel engine with 370 horsepower and a massive 850 lb.-ft. of torque. Its impressive towing capacity of 14,900 pounds and payload rating of 1,960 pounds make it a heavy-duty workhorse ready for any earthly or lunar challenge. Ram’s exclusive link-coil rear suspension system, with available air suspension, ensures the best ride quality in the ¾-ton heavy-duty pickup segment, automatically leveling the truck under heavy loads.
Chris Feuell, CEO of Ram and Chrysler brands, expressed excitement about the launch: “The new Lunar versions of the Ram Power Wagon and Rebel Heavy Duty reinforce our leadership in the sport truck segment. These special editions offer our customers enhanced value with unique features and design elements that are out of this world.”
With pricing starting at $75,205 (INR 63.10 lakh) for the Power Wagon Lunar and $85,490 for the Rebel HD Lunar (including destination charges), these special editions are now available for order, with deliveries beginning in October 2024. The new Lunar edition Ram trucks promise to elevate off-road capability and style, leaving the Moon Buggy far behind in their dust.
