Milton Keynes – Volkswagen has taken the wraps off its latest addition to the T-Roc family: the R Black Edition, which infuses the popular SUV with even more style and premium features. Set to be the flagship model in the UK, this special edition elevates the T-Roc’s high-performance credentials with a striking new design and enhanced equipment.
Building on the solid foundation of the T-Roc R, the R Black Edition distinguishes itself with a bold aesthetic upgrade. The design pack introduces sleek black decorative trims, roof rails, and mirror housings, all set off by striking 19-inch black and diamond-turned Estoril alloy wheels. The exterior enhancements give the SUV a brooding, yet refined look that is sure to turn heads on the road.
But the upgrades aren’t just skin-deep. The T-Roc R Black Edition also includes a suite of premium features as standard. Drivers will enjoy the convenience of a rear-view camera, heated front seats, and an electronic tailgate, while the large tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof floods the cabin with natural light, adding a touch of luxury.
For those who value audio excellence as much as driving performance, the R Black Edition comes equipped with a powerful Beats sound system. This setup includes six speakers, a digital eight-channel amplifier, a subwoofer, and a total output of 300 watts, ensuring that the soundtrack to your journey is as impressive as the vehicle itself.
Under the hood, the T-Roc R Black Edition retains the exhilarating performance of the T-Roc R. Its 2.0 TSI engine delivers 300 PS, paired with a seven-speed direct-shift gearbox and 4Motion all-wheel drive, enabling the SUV to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in a mere 4.9 seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph where allowed.
The Volkswagen T-Roc R Black Edition will be available to order from August 15, priced at £44,250 (including VAT). In tandem with this launch, Volkswagen has announced a price adjustment for the standard T-Roc R, now available at £43,000 (INR 46.63 lakh).
