Lexus has introduced a series of refined updates to its NX mid-size luxury SUV range, continuing to enhance its reputation for quality and innovation. While the changes may not be drastic, they add a fresh layer of sophistication to a model that has consistently earned accolades, including Auto Express’s mid-size premium SUV of the year for three consecutive years.
The self-charging hybrid NX 350h now features a renamed entry-level grade, Urban, which debuts wireless smartphone integration compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This grade also includes 18-inch alloy wheels, intelligent front and rear parking sensors with pedestrian detection, heated front seats, a power back door, E-latch electronic door release, and a 10-speaker audio system, all tied together with the Lexus Link Connect multimedia package featuring a 9.8-inch touchscreen.
In addition to the NX 350h, the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid’s Premium grade now offers eight-way power-adjustable front seats, illuminated door handles with puddle lights, rear privacy glass, a heated steering wheel, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and the E-latch door release system with Safe Exit Assist. Buyers can also opt for the Lexus Link Pro multimedia system with a 14-inch display.
The NX range introduces a Panoramic roof as an option for Premium, Premium Plus, and F Sport grades, while making it standard on F Sport Takumi and Takumi models. This new roof option allows more natural light into the cabin, enhancing the overall driving experience.
For the NX 350h Premium Plus, power-adjustable front seats are now standard, along with 20-inch alloy wheels, a 360-degree panoramic view monitor, heated and ventilated front seats, a head-up display, and smooth leather upholstery. The interior ambiance is further customizable with 64 different shades of LED lighting, allowing drivers to tailor the cabin’s mood to their journey.
The F Sport models maintain their dynamic appeal, featuring 20-inch F-Sport alloy wheels, distinctive interior and exterior styling, leather upholstery on the front seats, a power-adjustable and heated sports steering wheel with paddle shifters, sports-tuned suspension, a kick-sensor for the power back door, and four-eye LED headlights with Adaptive High-beam System. The F Sport Takumi models (available only for the NX 350h) enhance the experience with a 17-speaker Mark Levinson Premium Surround System, a comprehensive Lexus Safety System+ suite, and a digital rear-view mirror, features also included in the top-tier Takumi specification.
New color options have been introduced, including Sonic Copper for the exterior and Ammonite Sand for the smooth leather upholstery, allowing customers to further personalize their NX.
The updated NX models are available now, with prices starting from £44,445 (INR 47.52 lakh) for the NX 350h and £49,995 for the NX 450h+. These subtle yet significant enhancements ensure that the NX remains a standout choice in the competitive mid-size luxury SUV segment.
