Porsche India Soars to Record-Breaking Sales in First Half of 2024

Mumbai: Porsche India has reported its highest-ever retail sales for the first half of the year, marking a remarkable milestone in its operational history. The luxury car manufacturer witnessed an impressive 40 percent growth in sales from January to June 2024 compared to the same period last year.

The German automaker sold 489 vehicles during the first six months of 2024, surpassing previous records and reflecting a growing affinity for the brand in India. This surge includes a notable 93 units of the iconic 911 sports coupe, underscoring its enduring appeal among Indian car enthusiasts.

SUVs continue to dominate the automotive market globally, and Porsche India is no exception. The Cayenne and Macan models have emerged as the frontrunners, with a combined total of 306 units sold in the first half of the year. This trend highlights the increasing preference for high-performance, luxury SUVs among Indian consumers.

Manolito Vujicic, Brand Director of Porsche India, expressed his delight at the company’s stellar performance. “The desire to own a Porsche in India continues to grow, and we are elated to see that the first half of 2024 has been our best ever,” he said. “This reflects what has been a solid, continuous growth of sales right across each model line for Porsche in India over the past few years. It bodes well for the remainder of 2024 with a brace of more exciting new models set to launch in conjunction with further expansion of the Porsche network across the country.”

Looking ahead, Porsche India is poised to introduce three exciting new models in the second half of 2024. The Cayenne GTS, 911 sports coupe, and Panamera GTS are slated for launch, with deliveries commencing in the fourth quarter. These new offerings are expected to further bolster Porsche’s presence in the Indian market.

In addition to the upcoming models, Porsche’s commitment to innovation and sustainability is evident with the introduction of two new all-electric sports cars. The Taycan and the electric version of the Macan are now available for order, with deliveries set to begin in early 2025. These models represent Porsche’s dedication to leading the charge in the electric vehicle segment while maintaining its legacy of performance and luxury.

As Porsche India continues to expand its network and enhance its product lineup, the future looks promising. The company’s robust performance in the first half of 2024 sets a strong foundation for continued growth and success in the Indian automotive market. With a combination of cutting-edge technology, luxury, and performance, Porsche India is well on its way to solidifying its position as a preferred choice for discerning car buyers in the country.
