(Crewe, 18 July 2024) – Bentley Motors has announced a groundbreaking development for its flagship sedan, the Flying Spur. The next generation of this luxurious four-door grand tourer will feature the innovative Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, marking a significant leap in both power and efficiency.
A Powerhouse on Wheels
The new Ultra Performance Hybrid combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine with a high-output electric motor, producing a staggering 782 PS (771 bhp) and 1000 Nm (738 lb.ft) of torque. This powertrain, recently introduced in Bentley’s Continental GT Speed, ensures that the new Flying Spur will be the most powerful, dynamic, and efficient model in Bentley’s 105-year history.
Exceptional Performance and Efficiency
With nearly 150 PS more than the current Flying Spur Speed, the hybrid powertrain delivers exceptional performance, including a CO2 emission rate below 40 g/km and an electric-only range of over 45 miles. The total driving range exceeds 500 miles, making it a true modern grand tourer.
