Mumbai, July 04, 2024: Marking a significant milestone, Mahindra Tractors, India’s leading tractor brand and part of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), has launched ‘Desh ka Tractor: Mitti se Juda, Junoon se Saja’ to honor the Indian farming community. This initiative celebrates 60 years of the Mahindra Tractor and the sale of 40 lakh units since 1963.
Mahindra Tractors showcased a life-sized tractor-themed sculpture inspired by their renowned ‘Yuvo Tech Plus’ tractor. This innovative sculpture symbolizes the resilience and diversity of Indian farming, crafted from varied soils collected from over 4,000 farms across India. The sculpture embodies the spirit of ‘Mitti se Juda Junoon se Saja,’ reflecting Mahindra’s dedication to creating farming solutions connected to the land and practical for all terrains.
Unveiled at Mahindra’s Nagpur manufacturing facility, the event featured Vikram Wagh, CEO of the Farm Division at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Wagh emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “As we celebrate serving 40 lakh customers over 60 years, we acknowledge the farmers’ trust that has driven our success. ‘Desh ka Tractor’ highlights the strong bond between Mahindra Tractors and the hardworking, courageous Indian farmer. We deeply appreciate everyone who contributed to this achievement.”
Over the past 60 years, Mahindra has expanded its offerings to include more than 390 tractor models, supported by a robust network of over 1,200 dealer partners across India. This extensive network, combined with a customer-first approach, has enabled Mahindra to provide unparalleled sales, service, and spares support to its 40 lakh customers.
