Novitec Unveils Enhanced Ferrari 296 GTS: A Fusion of Power and Precision

Novitec has taken the Ferrari 296 GTS, already a powerhouse in the realm of open-top sports cars due to its hybrid drive system, and amplified its appeal with a series of expert refinements. These upgrades enhance both the aesthetics and performance of the Italian two-seater, making it an even more thrilling and unique driving experience.

The Novitec team, known for their meticulous attention to detail, has developed custom naked-carbon bodywork components for the 296 GTS. These not only enhance the car’s visual appeal but also optimize its aerodynamics. The addition of Novitec NF10 high-tech alloy wheels, designed in collaboration with Vossen, further accentuates the car’s dynamic wedge shape. The wheels feature a combination of 21-inch fronts and 22-inch rears, adding a distinctive edge to the Ferrari’s profile.

Performance upgrades include flow-optimized turbo inlets, a high-performance exhaust system, and sports catalysts. These enhancements boost the turbocharged six-cylinder engine’s output by 38 horsepower, resulting in a formidable system output of 638 kW (868 hp). This transformation adheres to Novitec’s philosophy of making the world’s most exclusive automobiles even more exciting and aerodynamically efficient.

Novitec’s designers have also introduced a striking new look for the Ferrari’s front end, adding a front lip spoiler and an air intake spoiler. These modifications not only enhance the car’s aesthetics but also reduce front-axle lift. The rear is equipped with a distinctive ducktail spoiler that increases rear-axle downforce at high speeds. Complementary carbon fiber components, including a diffuser and rear camera cover, contribute to the vehicle’s aerodynamic profile.

The sides of the Spider receive upgrades with carbon rocker panels, side mirror trim, and quarter glass enhancements. These components, along with covers for the side air intakes, improve airflow to the engine, enhancing both cooling and combustion efficiency.

The NF10 alloy wheels, featuring five delicate twin spokes, are a highlight of the Novitec enhancements. Produced exclusively for Novitec by Vossen, these wheels are available in 72 colors with brushed or polished surface finishes. The front wheels measure 9.5Jx21 with 255/30 ZR 21 tires, while the rear wheels are 11.5Jx22 with 335/25 ZR 22 tires, ensuring a perfect fit within the wheel wells.

Novitec’s modifications also include a 35-millimeter reduction in ride height, achieved through sports springs that enhance handling. The hydraulic height adjustment system for the front axle allows drivers to navigate speed bumps or parking ramps with ease, raising the front by 40 millimeters at the touch of a button.

Under the hood, targeted modifications to the engine peripherals further boost the Ferrari’s power. The flow-optimized exhaust systems, available in stainless steel or INCONEL, reduce engine bay temperatures and can be equipped with actively controlled butterfly valves for variable exhaust notes. These systems, combined with 100-cell sports catalysts, increase the internal combustion engine’s peak output by 28 kW (38 hp), bringing the total system output to 638 kW (868 hp).

The exhaust system is finished with 102-millimeter tailpipes, available in various styles including carbon coating and 999 fine gold plating. Inside the cockpit, Novitec offers bespoke refinement options, using the finest leathers and Alcantara in a wide array of colors, ensuring each Ferrari 296 GTS is as unique as its owner.

Novitec’s enhancements elevate the Ferrari 296 GTS to new heights, combining cutting-edge technology with exceptional craftsmanship to create a truly unparalleled sports car.
