Quest Waste Ditches Diesel for Dazzling Hybrids: Toyota Corolla Commercial Vans Take the Wheel

In a bold move that’s sparking interest and amusement, Quest Waste Management, a prominent drainage, waste, and utility service provider, has announced a significant shift in their vehicle fleet. The Wakefield-based company is turning the page on diesel, embracing hybrid electric technology with the introduction of the Toyota Corolla Commercial vans.

Operating across Yorkshire, the Midlands, and parts of North and North East England, Quest Waste has made headlines not just for their environmental services but now for their environmental consciousness as well. The British-built Corolla Commercial vans, chosen for their eco-friendly credentials, are set to become the new workhorses for the company’s sales and emergency response teams.

Nick Rushworth, Quest Operations Director, couldn’t hide his enthusiasm about the switch, stating, “We’re not just cleaning up the streets; we’re cleaning up our act, too!” He highlighted the hybrid vans’ blend of practicality, fuel efficiency, and the sleek design adorned in Quest’s company colours as key factors in their decision.

These cutting-edge vehicles are kitted out with Chapter 8 livery and LED beacon systems, ensuring they’re not just safe for UK highways but are also a beacon of Quest’s commitment to reducing CO2 emissions. Priced at £24,550 (INR 26.13 lakh) and equipped with Toyota’s latest Safety Sense features, the Corolla Commercial vans are not just a win for the environment but a stylish statement on the roads.

Rushworth shared that the partnership with Toyota was seamless, praising the automaker’s enthusiasm and support throughout the transition. “From test drives to paperwork, it was like they were as excited about our environmental goals as we were,” he said.

With Quest Waste Management’s leap into hybrid technology, it’s clear that they’re not just talking the talk on environmental responsibility; they’re driving it—quite literally—in a Toyota Corolla Commercial van.
