Mumbai, May 02, 2024 – Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., a cornerstone of the Indian automotive market, has reported a significant rise in its vehicle sales for April 2024, with a total of 70,471 vehicles sold, marking a 13% increase from the previous year. This growth includes both domestic sales and exports.
The company experienced substantial success in the Utility Vehicles segment, selling 41,008 SUVs in the domestic market, an 18% increase compared to last year, and reaching a total of 41,542 units with exports included. Commercial Vehicles also performed well, with domestic sales reaching 22,102 units.
Veejay Nakra, President of the Automotive Division at M&M Ltd., highlighted the success of their new launch, the XUV 3XO. “We sold a total of 41,008 SUVs in April, achieving an 18% growth, and 70,471 total vehicles, a 13% increase over last year,” said Nakra. He further elaborated on the XUV 3XO, describing it as “tailored to a broad spectrum of customers across categories,” and poised to disrupt the compact SUV market with its combination of innovation, safety, comfort, and performance, all starting at an attractive price point of INR 7.49 lakhs.
The XUV 3XO’s introduction into the market is expected to bolster Mahindra’s position as a leader in innovation and customer satisfaction in the automotive sector.
