Modena, 25 January 2024 – In a bold move electrifying the luxury car industry, Maserati, the quintessential Italian luxury brand, has switched gears towards a sustainable and profitable future. Renowned for blending performance with opulence, Maserati is now pioneering the electrification race, proudly announcing that its entire range is 100% designed, developed, and manufactured in Italy. The historic Modena plant, the brand’s heart for over 80 years, continues to beat strong at the forefront of this revolution.
Maserati’s journey towards a green future isn’t just a dream; it’s a roaring reality. The company has already released its first two all-electric beasts – the GranTurismo Folgore and Grecale Folgore, marking a significant milestone in its electrification journey. Maserati isn’t just embracing change; it’s driving it, becoming the first Italian luxury brand to compete in Formula E from 2023.
The electrifying road doesn’t end here. Maserati plans to launch the GranCabrio Folgore later this year, followed by the MC20 Folgore in 2025, a new large E-UV BEV in 2027, and the next generation of Quattroporte BEV in 2028. These models aren’t just cars; they’re statements of Maserati’s commitment to a cleaner, more luxurious future.
Maserati is not just about cars; it’s about an experience. The Modena plant will host the “Atelier of the Fuoriserie Personalization Program,” offering bespoke Maserati models, tailor-made to perfection. The Maserati Engineering Team, a group of around 130 expert engineers and technicians, is the driving force behind this innovation, ensuring that every Maserati car remains a symbol of Italian luxury.
As part of the Stellantis “Dare Forward 2030” strategic plan, Maserati is not just adapting to change; it’s leading it. 2024 marks a pivotal year in Maserati’s journey, proving that luxury and sustainability can coexist in harmony.
Maserati CEO Davide Grasso sums it up best: “Driven by our Modena heart, we are racing towards an electrified future. Our aim? To offer our customers the most powerful, yet sustainable Maseratis ever. It’s not just about cars; it’s about crafting a legacy that embodies the essence of the Trident, made with unmatched Italian excellence.”
