The Kodiaq, which has been a flagbearer for Škoda’s SUV line since its debut in 2016, is not just getting a makeover; it’s also embracing diverse powertrain options. For the first time, fans can get their hands on a plug-in hybrid variant. This addition marks a new chapter in Škoda’s drive towards sustainability and innovation.
Since its premiere, the Kodiaq has been nothing short of a superstar, with over 870,000 units produced. The Kvasiny plant is ready to roll out up to 410 Kodiaq SUVs daily. This production boost is thanks to the strategic shift of the Superb’s production to Bratislava, freeing up Kvasiny to focus on churning out more Karoq and Kodiaq models. The plant is now a powerhouse, capable of producing an extra 150,000 units annually.
The Kodiaq’s journey has been nothing short of remarkable. It spearheaded Škoda’s SUV line and has been joined by siblings like the Karoq, Kamiq, and the electric Enyaq.
