Front-engine

In automotive design, a front-engine layout places the engine at the front of the vehicle, typically over or just behind the front axle. This is the most common engine placement due to its efficient use of space, ease of cooling, and balanced weight distribution—especially in front-wheel-drive cars. It allows for better passenger and cargo room and is widely used in sedans, SUVs, and trucks. While it may not offer the same handling dynamics as mid- or rear-engine setups, front-engine vehicles are generally more practical, cost-effective, and easier to maintain.
