Greater Noida: Scania Commercial Vehicles India has expanded its Super portfolio with the unveiling of the new G 560 Super 10×4 Mining Tipper at bauma Conexpo India 2026, bringing the company’s latest Super powertrain technology to heavy-duty mining and off-highway applications in India.
The new mining truck is powered by a 13-litre Super engine producing 560 hp and 2,800 Nm of torque, paired with Scania’s G33 Opticruise gearbox. The combination has been developed to deliver strong performance and drivability in demanding operating environments while improving fuel efficiency and reducing CO₂ emissions, according to the company.
Scania said the introduction represents the next phase of its Super portfolio expansion in India, with the company adapting the technology for different applications and customer requirements.
Built for high-volume mining operations
Designed specifically for heavy-duty mining work, the G 560 Super uses a 10×4 configuration with three steerable axles and heavy-duty rear axles.
The truck has a technical gross vehicle weight of 71 tonnes and is equipped with a body offering approximately 32.5 cubic metres of SAE heap volume, allowing it to handle high-volume material movement at mining sites.
Its chassis is paired with a Hardox 450 steel Rock body, aimed at providing the durability required in operations where rough terrain, heavy loads and long working cycles are part of the daily routine rather than an occasional inconvenience.
Scania has also equipped the truck with its spacious G Series cab, along with smart displays and real-time vehicle monitoring systems. The company says these features are intended to improve driver comfort, operational visibility and safety during extended shifts.
Focus on fuel efficiency and uptime
A significant part of the new truck’s positioning revolves around Scania’s Super powertrain, which the company says has been engineered to improve fuel efficiency while lowering carbon dioxide emissions.
In mining operations, where vehicles can spend long hours carrying heavy loads under demanding conditions, relatively small improvements in fuel consumption can have a substantial effect on overall operating costs.
Scania is therefore pairing the truck with its Complete Solution Sales Offering, rather than treating the vehicle as a standalone product.
The programme includes Scania Digital Services, tailored service packages and other supporting solutions, with a focus on improving uptime, productivity, operational efficiency and the overall cost of ownership.

The G 560 Super 10×4 Mining Tipper is currently undergoing customer demonstrations across India, giving operators an opportunity to assess the vehicle under real-world mining conditions.
That stage could be particularly significant for a machine designed for mining, where specifications on paper are only part of the equation. Payload capability, fuel consumption, uptime and durability over sustained operating cycles ultimately determine whether a truck earns its keep.
