Pune: In a move that could make India’s auto-rickshaw operators breathe a little easier—and maybe argue a little less about charging stops—Bajaj Auto has unveiled its most ambitious electric three-wheeler lineup yet under the new Bajaj Wego brand.
Positioned as India’s widest portfolio of electric three-wheelers, the Wego range spans both passenger and cargo segments, offering an impressive claimed range of up to 296 km on a single charge. In a segment where “range anxiety” is as common as honking at traffic signals, Bajaj seems keen to change the conversation.

The new lineup includes multiple variants—P50, P70, P90 for passenger mobility, and C90 for cargo operations—each tailored to specific use cases across urban, semi-urban, and rural landscapes. Whether it’s navigating narrow city lanes or hauling goods across town, Bajaj is essentially saying: “There’s a Wego for that.”
At the heart of the Wego platform lies an efficient electric drivetrain paired with a 2-speed automatic transmission, supported by an advanced battery management system and regenerative braking. The result is not just extended range, but also improved long-term ownership economics—something fleet operators will likely appreciate more than fancy marketing lines.
Feature-wise, the Wego range brings in a modern touch to the traditionally utilitarian three-wheeler segment. Expect Bluetooth connectivity, a digital LCD display, hill hold assist, climb mode, and enhanced gradability. Add to that improved passenger space, better legroom, and ergonomic driver access—because even auto drivers deserve a bit of comfort after a long day of navigating traffic.
In the passenger segment, the P50 series (P5009 and P5012) is aimed at dense city operations, offering ARAI-certified ranges of 213 km and 272 km, starting at ₹3.11 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The P70 series steps things up for shared mobility with ranges of 182 km and 259 km, while the flagship P90 series pushes boundaries with a 296 km range, clearly targeting longer routes and higher passenger loads.
On the cargo front, the C90 series (C9009 and C9012) is built for last-mile logistics, delivering ranges between 149 km and 207 km, ensuring goods move efficiently even when traffic doesn’t.
Backing the product is a 5-year warranty, roadside assistance, and access to over 1,500 Bajaj sales and service touchpoints across India—because an electric future still needs a strong support system.
Commenting on the launch, Samardeep Subandh, President – Intra-City Business at Bajaj Auto, stated that the Wego portfolio is designed to cater to diverse customer needs, from high-frequency urban usage to long-distance and cargo applications.
With the Wego range, Bajaj Auto is not just expanding its electric portfolio—it’s attempting to redefine the three-wheeler ecosystem in India. And if the claimed range figures hold up in real-world conditions, the humble auto-rickshaw might just become the quietest revolution on Indian roads.
