Off-Roaders Roar at Chandigarh’s First Mud & Music Festival with 60+ Vehicles in Action

Chandigarh:
If you ever wondered what happens when roaring engines, flying mud, and thumping music share the same stage, the answer arrived in spectacular style at the first edition of the Mud & Music Festival. Held at Forest Hill Resort near Chandigarh, the two-day event wrapped up successfully, proving that sometimes the best way to celebrate automobiles is to get them gloriously dirty.

With the theme “Mud, Music Madness,” the festival brought together off-roading enthusiasts, music lovers, and adventure seekers from across North India. More than 60 off-road vehicles participated in the inaugural edition, transforming the scenic resort into a playground of roaring engines, splashing mud, and cheering spectators.

The highlight of the festival was the Mud Challenge, where 45 vehicles took on a demanding muddy obstacle course. Drivers from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, and Jammu & Kashmir tested both their machines and their driving skills as they navigated slippery terrain, deep ruts, and unpredictable tracks. It was less about keeping the vehicles clean and more about proving that mud is just another accessory for a true off-roader.

Day two of the festival shifted gears to a Forest Trail Drive, where 15 vehicles ventured into natural trails, exploring rugged terrain and picturesque forest routes. Compared to the mud battlefield of the previous day, this drive offered a scenic but equally thrilling off-road experience.

But the festival wasn’t just about engines and tyres spinning in mud. Music played a central role in keeping the adrenaline levels high. The Nissi Band from Jammu delivered an electrifying live performance, while DJ Syna from Chandigarh ensured the crowd stayed on its feet with high-energy beats. Adding a soulful flavour to the lineup, the Miraj Band captivated audiences with their mesmerizing Sufi music, proving that off-roading and spirituality can coexist—especially when both come with powerful soundtracks.

Among the star attractions was the N1200 Ator mobility vehicle by JSW Gecko Motors, which became one of the most talked-about displays at the festival. The amphibious vehicle demonstrated its ability to tackle water, mud, mountains, and forests, offering visitors a rare chance to experience a machine that treats land and water almost equally. In simpler terms, if the terrain looks impossible, the Ator probably considers it an invitation.

Another major crowd-puller was the Tata Motors Sierra R.O.Q. Edition, which drew curious crowds and enthusiastic photographers alike. For many attendees, it was a glimpse into how modern adventure vehicles are blending heritage with futuristic capability.

The automotive celebration extended beyond off-roaders as well. Kunwar Customs from Jaipur showcased a range of uniquely customized vehicles, while the Bike Farmers Group displayed a stunning lineup of high-capacity motorcycles that instantly became crowd magnets. Meanwhile, vintage and classic Jeep models added a nostalgic touch, reminding visitors that off-roading legends never go out of style.

Visitors also explored several automotive accessory showcases. Saak Motors presented a variety of automobile accessories, while Infinity Auto Mall attracted attention with its eye-catching display of premium alloy wheels—because even mud-covered machines deserve stylish footwear.

Speaking about the event’s success, Piyush Punjabi, Founder of the Mud & Music Festival, expressed his excitement at the overwhelming response from both participants and spectators.

He noted that the festival was never meant to be a hardcore competition but rather a celebration of adventure, music, and automotive culture.

“The idea was to create an environment where people could come together, enjoy off-roading, music, and the outdoors. The response has been fantastic, and we are grateful to everyone who participated and supported the event,” he said.

Encouraged by the strong turnout and enthusiastic feedback, the organizers have confirmed that the second edition of the Mud & Music Festival will be announced soon. If the inaugural edition is anything to go by, the next one promises even more roaring engines, louder music, and—most importantly—far more mud.

After all, in the world of off-roading, the dirtier the car, the bigger the smile.
