Toyota Brings Its “Second-First Car” Experience to Chandigarh — Expands Pre-Owned Network with a Wink and a Warranty

Chandigarh — Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has added a new pit stop on its pre-owned journey map — Chandigarh — as part of its expanding Toyota Mobility Solutions and Services India Pvt. Ltd. (TMSS) network. With the aim of redefining what “used” really means, Toyota is proving once again that even second-hand can come with first-class polish, poise, and yes, that signature T-Gloss shine.

The new facility at Plot No. B56, Industrial Area Phase-6, Mohali, sprawls over 8,500 square feet — large enough to make a few new car showrooms nervous — and can display more than 10 Toyota Certified vehicles that have undergone a 203-point inspection. Each car is treated with Toyota’s almost ceremonial Maru-Maru cleaning process — a ritual of precision so thorough, even your dentist might feel insecure.

A Used Car, but Make It Toyota

TMSS isn’t just selling pre-owned cars; it’s selling peace of mind with factory-fit discipline. Each certified vehicle gets a makeover using Toyota Genuine Parts, a uniform “One Price for All” policy, and that all-important up to 2-year / 30,000 km warranty with 3 free services — ensuring your “used” car feels just freshly graduated from the production line.

Customers can also access digital tools like the ‘Valuate Your Car’ option on Toyota’s U-Trust website — a polite way of saying, “let’s see how much your old ride is actually worth before you start dreaming of that Fortuner.”

Voices from the Top (and with Good Reason)

“Our journey in the used car segment reaffirms that customers place the highest value on safety, transparency, and reliability,”
said Tadashi Asazuma, Deputy Managing Director, TKM.
“With plans to open 37 outlets by 2028, we’re redefining the pre-owned market with benchmarks of trust and quality — and maybe fewer negotiation headaches.”

Meanwhile, Keshavan Laxman Iyyer, President of TMSS, added:

“Our ‘One Price for All’ approach ensures fairness for everyone — from college graduates buying their first Toyota to uncles insisting they know a dealer who can ‘get a better rate.’”

Three Years, Three Cities, and 4,000 Smiles

Since its pre-owned foray in 2022, Toyota’s certified car network has sold nearly 4,000 vehicles, with a whopping 30% of customers coming through referrals — proof that when Toyota sells “trust,” people actually forward the link. The brand already has outlets in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Guwahati, with Chandigarh marking another milestone in Toyota’s northern drive for quality and credibility.

With TMSS, Toyota isn’t just expanding its footprint — it’s ensuring that even in the pre-owned segment, your car’s previous owner remains a mystery, not a worry. And with 37 outlets planned by 2028, one thing’s for sure: Toyota’s idea of “old” cars is still newer than most people’s new ones.
