Nissan Drives Into Spinny Lane: Exchange Made Easy, No RC Acrobatics Required

Gurugram: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has pulled off an industry-first manoeuvre by teaming up with Spinny, India’s full-stack used car platform, as its Preferred Exchange Partner Platform. In plain speak: Nissan customers can now swap their old rides for shiny new ones without suffering through endless RC paperwork or awkward negotiations that feel like haggling for mangoes at the sabzi mandi.

This strategic pit stop in Nissan’s customer-centric journey promises more value, less hassle, and a definite boost to dealership profits. Customers exchanging their vehicles via Spinny — whether at a Nissan showroom or directly on Spinny’s platform — get exclusive exchange benefits on new Nissan cars.

To make the process smoother than a Magnite’s CVT gearbox, Spinny’s evaluation teams will set up shop inside Nissan dealerships, ensuring timely assessments. The pièce de résistance? The mighty ‘Buying Letter’ from Spinny will be accepted as proof of exchange, sparing customers the Kafkaesque nightmare of waiting for RC transfers.

Dealer Network Gets a Power Boost

The collaboration also gifts Nissan dealers new revenue streams, smarter inventory liquidation, and joint marketing campaigns with Spinny — a digital handshake that doubles visibility for both brands.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said,

“Our Spinny partnership is not just about cars, it’s about making exchanges as easy as trading Pokémon cards — only with airbags and warranties. This strengthens our ecosystem, delights customers, and helps dealerships grow.”

Niraj Singh, Founder & CEO of Spinny, added with flair,

“Car ownership in India should feel like joy, not like an episode of Kaun Banega Document-pati. Together with Nissan, we’re creating a simpler, more transparent exchange experience where customers stay firmly in the driver’s seat.”

Safety, Style, and Spinny Smiles

The partnership announcement arrives hot on the heels of Nissan’s latest highlight — the Magnite Kuro Special Edition, dripping in blacked-out swagger, starting at ₹8.30 lakh. To sweeten the pot further, the Magnite has bagged a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, making it one of India’s safest compact SUVs (and South Africa’s too).

With over 40+ standard safety features, 20+ segment-first tech tricks, and now a Spinny-backed exchange scheme, Nissan seems to be telling customers: “We’ve got your back — whether it’s safety, style, or swapping your old hatch for a bold new SUV.”
