Mahindra’s NU_IQ Moment: Four Futuristic SUVs That Refuse to Compromise

Mumbai – Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s undisputed SUV powerhouse, has just dropped a bombshell on wheels – four bold, beautiful, and borderline sci-fi SUV design concepts that mark the dawn of its Vision 2027. And no, they’re not concept cars designed to sit in a museum and gather dust; these are fully-fledged, road-bound statements built on the brand-new NU_IQ platform – Mahindra’s ticket to a no-compromise future.

Heart Meets Horsepower: Heartcore 2.0

The four futuristic machines – Vision.S, Vision.T, Vision.SXT, and Vision.X – are essentially Mahindra’s way of saying, “Why settle when you can have it all?” Built on the second coming of the Heartcore design philosophy, they embody what Chief Design Guru Pratap Bose calls “Opposites Attract.” Think of it as mixing Bollywood drama with British dry wit – except this time the result is sculpted steel, LED DRLs, and flat floors in ICE SUVs (yes, flat floors in ICE – someone tell the physics department they’ve been made redundant).

NU_IQ: The Platform That Thinks It’s a Philosopher

Underneath these concept SUVs lies NU_IQ, a multi-energy platform designed to handle everything from FWD to AWD, from ICE to EV, from Left-Hand Drive to Right-Hand Drive – it’s so adaptable it could probably star in its own yoga commercial. The engineers claim it’s light yet strong, roomy yet safe, and packed with tech so intuitive it should come with a PhD.

R. Velusamy, President of All Things Mechanical and Futuristic at Mahindra, declared, “NU_IQ is a blueprint that frees customers from compromises.” Translation: you’ll never again have to choose between performance and space, design and practicality, or chai and coffee.

Four Personalities, One Ambition

  • Vision.S: The sporty one – because every family needs that over-enthusiastic cousin.
  • Vision.T: Born Iconic – or, in car-speak, “the one that photobombs every parking lot.”
  • Vision.SXT: The style statement, aimed at those who think SUVs should also double as Instagram filters.
  • Vision.X: Sculptural Athleticism – basically a gym rat with Michelin Pilot Sport sneakers.

These were jointly penned at Mahindra’s design studios in Mumbai and Banbury, UK – proving once again that when India meets Britain, the result is either cricket drama… or globally desirable SUVs.

Road to 2027: Global Takeover Plans

Slated to enter production from 2027, the quartet is being billed as Mahindra’s global passport to SUV dominance, including in left-hand drive markets. So, don’t be surprised if a Vision.SXT pulls up alongside you in Berlin or Boston while blasting Hindi remixes through its NU_UX infotainment.

For decades, SUVs have been about compromise: power vs. efficiency, space vs. style, toughness vs. comfort. Mahindra’s new NU_IQ range is essentially saying, “Why not both?” With design flair, modular engineering, and the audacity to put a flat floor in an ICE SUV, Mahindra may have just rewritten the rulebook – and doodled Heartcore emojis in the margins.
