New Delhi: Kia India, the nation’s leading mass-premium automaker, has revved up the start to 2025 by dispatching 25,025 vehicles in January—a notable 5% increase over last year’s 23,769 units in the same month. This strong performance highlights the company’s robust market presence and growing consumer trust in its innovative lineup.
A key contributor to this success has been the impressive debut of the Kia Syros. The newly launched model sold 5,546 units in its first month, signaling an enthusiastic response from customers eager for futuristic design and advanced technology at an accessible price. Priced from INR 8.99 lakh, the Syros is poised to attract a wide segment of the market, setting the stage for further growth.
Kia India’s core models continue to shine as well. The Sonet and Seltos recorded sales of 7,194 and 6,470 units, respectively, underscoring their strong appeal among urban drivers seeking performance and style. Meanwhile, the Kia Carens maintained its reputation as a reliable choice, contributing 5,522 units to the January tally. Not to be overlooked, the premium Kia Carnival, with 293 units dispatched, reaffirmed its allure in the luxury segment.
Adding to its domestic triumphs, Kia India expanded its global footprint by exporting 1,454 units of its ‘Made in India’ vehicles to 70 international markets. This move not only reinforces the brand’s commitment to quality and innovation but also underscores its role in bolstering India’s presence in the global automotive arena.
Commenting on the strong start, Mr. Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, said, “The first month of the year is crucial for any OEM as it sets the momentum for the months ahead. We’ve had a strong start in 2025 with the launch of the Kia Syros, which has garnered a tremendous response from customers. Additionally, our premium offering, the Kia Carnival Limousine, continues to gain traction in its segment. These responses testify to Kia’s commitment to design and technological advancement, ensuring we meet customer preferences while continuously innovating to provide best-in-class mobility solutions across all segments.”
With an eye on sustained innovation and customer-centric designs, Kia India is clearly geared up to not only maintain but accelerate its momentum in both domestic and international markets throughout 2025.
