New Delhi, India — Porsche India has made history in 2024, crossing the coveted 1,000-unit sales milestone for the first time, with 1,006 vehicles sold—a 10% increase from the previous year. Alongside this achievement, the company is charting an ambitious course for the future with the launch of two new Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) and plans for three new Porsche Centres in Indore, Jaipur, and Lucknow by 2025.
At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi, Porsche India unveiled the second-generation Macan BEV SUV and the updated Taycan sports saloon. These all-electric models represent a significant step in the brand’s commitment to sustainable luxury performance.
Brand Director Manolito Vujicic expressed pride in the company’s achievement:
“After a strong 2023, we are happy to have exceeded expectations in 2024, selling over a thousand cars for the first time. This milestone reflects the appeal of our growing product range, customer-first experiences, and expanding footprint across India.”
SUVs Lead the Charge
The brand’s SUV lineup, comprising the Cayenne and Macan, accounted for 71% of total sales in 2024, with 454 and 259 units sold, respectively. Porsche’s two-door sports cars, including the iconic 911, 718 Cayman, and Boxster, saw an unprecedented 95% sales growth, contributing 156 units to the record-breaking total.
Electrifying 2025: New Models and New Horizons
The spotlight in 2025 is firmly on Porsche’s all-electric future. The new Macan BEV is available in three variants:
- Macan (₹ 1.21 crore)
- Macan 4S (₹ 1.38 crore)
- Macan Turbo (₹ 1.68 crore), offering up to 639 PS of power.
Meanwhile, the updated Taycan is offered in two trims at launch:
- Taycan 4S (₹ 1.89 crore)
- Taycan Turbo (₹ 2.52 crore).
A two-wheel-drive variant with an extended range of up to 678 km (WLTP) will follow later in the year.
Expansion Across India
To meet rising demand, Porsche India will open three new Centres in Indore, Jaipur, and Lucknow by late 2025. This builds on the successful launches of operations in Pune and Hyderabad last year, enhancing accessibility for Porsche enthusiasts nationwide.
Driving Forward
With an entirely refreshed lineup launched over the past 14 months, Porsche India is entering 2025 with strong momentum. Vujicic added:
“2025 will be a defining year for Porsche in India. With exciting new products and strategic expansion, we are confident in sustaining our growth trajectory well into 2026.”
Porsche India’s achievement underscores the brand’s growing influence in the luxury automotive market, blending innovation, performance, and sustainability to shape the future of mobility in India.
