Mercedes-Benz India Launches Next-Gen E-Class LWB at INR 78.5 lakh: Redefining Luxury with Tech-Savvy Innovations

Pune, India – Mercedes-Benz India has launched its latest model, the all-new Long Wheelbase (LWB) E-Class, setting new benchmarks in the luxury business sedan segment. The sixth generation of the E-Class, India’s best-selling executive saloon, arrives with cutting-edge technology, personalized features, and luxurious interiors tailored to the preferences of Indian consumers.

The new LWB E-Class is designed with India-specific adaptations, enhancing its comfort and performance for local road conditions. “The New LWB E-Class once again sets a benchmark, offering an advanced and personalized experience while maintaining its legacy as India’s most desirable luxury car,” said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India. With features designed for India’s unique needs, the E-Class is produced exclusively in the country for right-hand-drive markets globally.

Key Highlights of the New E-Class LWB:

  1. Variants Available: The model is offered in three variants—E200, E220d, and E450 4Matic—with introductory prices starting at Rs. 78.5 lakhs.
  2. Advanced MBUX Superscreen: The car includes the latest 3rd generation MBUX Superscreen, incorporating AI-powered digital interactions with 12 customizable display styles and personalized routines to automate customer tasks.
  3. Rear Seat Comfort Focus: Designed for rear-seat luxury, the car features reclining seats (up to 36 degrees), extendable thigh support, neck pillows, sun blinds, and the innovative ‘Chauffeur Package’ for an unmatched passenger experience.
  4. Enhanced Safety Features: The E-Class now includes eight airbags, including a center airbag for additional safety. Blind Spot Assist and the Pre-Safe system ensure comprehensive protection for occupants.
  5. Sustainable Materials: Emphasizing sustainability, the new model uses certified recycled materials in seat foams, contributing to a greener production approach.

‘Made in India, for India’: Enhanced for Local Conditions

The new E-Class LWB is specifically designed to excel in Indian driving conditions. An India-specific suspension system and locally sourced components like side and quarter glasses provide improved ride quality and localization benefits. Additionally, crash and emission tests for the India-made model were conducted in Spain and Germany, ensuring it meets Mercedes-Benz’s global safety and quality standards.

Technological Innovation and Personalization

Mercedes-Benz introduces several tech-forward features in the new E-Class LWB, such as a selfie camera for in-car video calls, Thermotronic digital vent control for climate personalization, and the latest in AI-driven routines. The MBUX Superscreen’s expansive glass surface integrates seamlessly with the dashboard, enhancing the digital experience for both the driver and passengers.
