VinFast delivered 21,781 electric vehicles in Vietnam in July 2026, an increase of 21% over June, taking its deliveries in the domestic market to 137,697 units during the first seven months of the year, the company announced.
The Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer said the July performance further strengthened its position in the country’s automotive market, where it has claimed market leadership for nearly two consecutive years.
The compact VF 3 emerged as VinFast’s best-selling model during July, with 5,564 vehicles delivered. Its cumulative deliveries for January-July reached 29,345 units.
The VF 5 and Herio Green together recorded 4,407 deliveries during the month, bringing their year-to-date figure to 24,574 vehicles. The models serve both private customers and commercial transport operators.
Close behind was the Limo Green, with 4,404 vehicles delivered in July. Its year-to-date volume reached 32,331 units, making it VinFast’s highest-selling model in Vietnam during the first seven months of 2026.
The seven-seat MPV has been positioned primarily around passenger space and lower electric-vehicle operating costs, particularly for high-mileage users.
VinFast’s smaller Minio Green recorded 2,429 deliveries in July following a price adjustment to VND 188 million, putting it at the same price as the VF 2.
The two-door, four-seat model is currently positioned as an entry-level passenger vehicle in Vietnam and is being pitched as an alternative to motorcycles for urban mobility. In a market where two wheels have traditionally ruled the streets, even a very small four-wheeler has plenty of room to make a large impression.
Other models also contributed to July volumes. VinFast delivered 1,993 units of the VF 6, taking its year-to-date total to 16,038 vehicles, while the VF MPV 7 recorded 1,674 deliveries during the month and 10,851 units in the first seven months.
The company said its larger VF 7, VF 8 and VF 9 models, along with the compact EC Van, also contributed to overall July deliveries, although individual monthly figures for those vehicles were not disclosed in the announcement.
Ms. Duong Thi Thu Trang, Deputy CEO of Global Automotive Sales at VinFast, said: “Delivering 137,697 electric vehicles to customers in just the first seven months of the year marks another record for VinFast in the Vietnamese automotive market. This reflects the strong momentum in both new vehicle purchases and the transition from gasoline-powered cars to electric vehicles, allowing more consumers to enjoy the tangible benefits that EVs offer. With the new-generation VF 8 and the VF 2 set for delivery soon, I am confident that VinFast’s sales will accelerate even further in the remaining months of the year.”
VinFast expects to begin deliveries of the first units of the new-generation VF 8 in August to customers who placed early reservations.
The VF 2, meanwhile, is scheduled to begin reaching customers in September. VinFast said the model had already secured 28,742 reservations, giving the company another potentially significant source of volume heading into the final months of 2026.
The July figures underline the rapid expansion of VinFast’s electric vehicle portfolio in its home market, with demand now spread across compact city cars, family vehicles, MPVs and commercial models. The next test will be whether upcoming launches such as the VF 2 and revised VF 8 can sustain that momentum as Vietnam’s transition toward electric mobility gathers pace.
