New Delhi: Tesla has inaugurated North India’s first in-mall charging location at Nexus Select Citywalk in New Delhi, installing six 11 kW AC Destination Chargers as the electric vehicle company expands its charging infrastructure across India.
Located in the mall’s P1 parking area, the chargers are designed to allow Tesla owners to replenish their vehicles while shopping or dining. The company said the location offers 99.95% uptime and is intended to provide a convenient “Plug In, Charge and Go” experience.
The new facility takes Tesla’s charging network in India to six stations, collectively equipped with 20 Superchargers and 20 Destination Chargers.
Alongside the charging station, Tesla has opened a temporary store on the ground floor of Nexus Select Citywalk. The pop-up, operating from July 6 to July 10 between 11 am and 9 pm, allows visitors to explore the Model Y L and the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive through guided walkarounds, product demonstrations and test drives.
The Model Y L is an all-wheel-drive family SUV with a three-row, six-seat configuration. Tesla claims the vehicle offers up to 681 km of range under the WLTP testing cycle and can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in five seconds.
Its cargo capacity can be expanded to 2,539 litres, while the cabin has been designed to maximise headroom and legroom across all three rows.
Prices for the Model Y L start at ₹61.99 lakh. Tesla is also offering financing with monthly instalments beginning at ₹49,990 and a minimum down payment of ₹6.5 lakh, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
The 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive, meanwhile, is a five-seat variant with up to 2,138 litres of cargo capacity. It has a claimed WLTP range of up to 500 km and can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in 5.9 seconds.
The model is priced at ₹50.89 lakh, with finance options offering monthly instalments starting at ₹39,990 and a down payment of ₹6.5 lakh. Tesla described the Model Y as the world’s best-selling electric vehicle as of March 2026.
According to the company, the Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive and the six-seat Model Y L have received high safety ratings from organisations including the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, Euro NCAP, ANCAP and the China Insurance Automotive Safety Index.
Both vehicles are available to order through Tesla’s official website. The company said home-charging support is available across all Indian states, an important part of EV ownership because even the most enthusiastic driver would rather begin the morning with a charged car than a search for the nearest available plug.
Tesla currently lists experience centres at Worldmark 3 in Delhi’s Aerocity, Orchid Business Park in Gurugram, Hitech City in Hyderabad, Whitefield in Bengaluru and Maker Maxity in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex.
The Delhi installation reflects the growing emphasis among electric vehicle manufacturers on placing charging infrastructure at destinations where motorists already spend time. For Tesla, the mall-based station is both a practical addition to its Indian network and a visible step towards making electric mobility part of everyday urban routines.
