Bhopal & Pune: Mercedes-Benz India has added another star to its expanding luxury constellation with the inauguration of a brand-new luxury showroom in Bhopal, marking the city’s growing importance in India’s premium automotive landscape. Yes, the City of Lakes is now officially a City of Luxury too — and the German three-pointed star has chosen a prime seat by the water.
The new boutique-format showroom, operated by long-time franchise partner Landmark Cars, reflects Mercedes-Benz’s aggressive yet elegant expansion strategy across emerging luxury markets. Spanning 1,100 sq. ft. in Habib Ganj, one of Bhopal’s key business hubs, the facility was completed in a record 4.5 months, proving that even luxury can arrive faster than a typical government file.

Designed under Mercedes-Benz’s innovative ‘Stars at Mercedes-Benz’ top-end flex format, the showroom offers high flexibility in showcasing the entire brand universe — from the understated luxury of Mercedes-Benz, the ultra-opulence of Mercedes-Maybach, the muscular charisma of AMG, to the iconic presence of the G-Class. In simple terms, whether your mood is “CEO in a suit” or “Bollywood villain in Dubai”, there’s a Mercedes waiting for you here.
Speaking on the occasion, Emrah Oezer, CFO and Executive Director, Mercedes-Benz India, highlighted the brand’s strong momentum in the Indian market. He stated that Mercedes-Benz continues to remain the most desirable luxury automotive brand in India, witnessing strong growth in top-end vehicles and its BEV portfolio, along with solid revenue performance. In 2025 alone, the company plans to launch 12 new products, expand local production, roll out MB.Charge Public, enter new markets, and upgrade its entire network — basically, no slowing down, only shifting to Sport mode.
Oezer also emphasized Bhopal’s rising importance as a luxury market, stating that the new state-of-the-art showroom will offer customers an elevated retail experience aligned with the brand’s values of trust, prestige, and excellence. Translation: Bhopal customers will now experience luxury that smells like fresh leather instead of new plastic.
The showroom is strategically located in a premium commercial complex and offers seamless brand switching with adaptable digital elements, allowing logos and displays to change effortlessly depending on the model showcased. This means one day it’s Maybach-level royalty, the next day it’s AMG-level adrenaline — all without moving walls or breaking marble.
The facility focuses heavily on exclusive customer consultation, optimized display space, and personalized luxury experiences, supported by a trained team of around 10 professionals. It is less about rushing customers and more about slow coffee, soft lighting, and discussions that start with “Which colour reflects your personality?”
Sanjay Thakker, Chairman & Executive Director, Landmark Cars, expressed his delight in strengthening the partnership with Mercedes-Benz through the Bhopal showroom. He noted that the city is witnessing steady growth in premium aspirations and that the new facility integrates modern design, digital-enabled consultations, and a highly personalized engagement model. According to him, the showroom offers a holistic luxury ecosystem under one roof, focused on exclusivity, comfort, and convenience — essentially, the automotive version of a five-star hotel lobby.
With this inauguration, Mercedes-Benz continues its rapid expansion across India, planning 20 new touchpoints and upgrading 15 existing facilities to international luxury standards. Franchise partners have already invested ₹470 crore in this transformation, while the brand now boasts the densest luxury car network in the country with over 140 outlets across 50+ cities.
In short, Mercedes-Benz is no longer just selling cars in India — it’s building luxury neighbourhoods. And with Bhopal now officially on the map, the message is clear: the future of Indian luxury is not just metro-driven, it’s mini-metro powered… preferably with ambient lighting and a Burmester sound system.
