New Delhi: In a move that blends mobility with energy—and convenience with common sense—Maruti Suzuki India Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited to set up vehicle service facilities at select Indian Oil fuel retail outlets across the country.
The idea is simple yet smart: while your car is refuelling, it can also get a quick health check. From routine maintenance and minor repairs to even major services (yes, the serious stuff), customers will soon be able to get their Maruti Suzuki serviced at locations they already visit regularly. In other words, pit stops are about to get a lot more productive.
This collaboration further strengthens Maruti Suzuki’s already formidable after-sales network, which currently boasts over 5,780 service touchpoints across 2,882 cities in India. With Indian Oil’s presence at more than 41,000 fuel stations nationwide, the partnership promises to bring car care closer to home—or at least closer to the nearest petrol pump.
Speaking on the occasion, Ram Suresh Akella, Executive Officer (Service), Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said the objective is to make car servicing as effortless as possible. By leveraging Indian Oil’s unmatched reach, Maruti Suzuki aims to integrate after-sales service seamlessly into customers’ everyday travel routines. The collaboration, he noted, represents a meaningful convergence of the mobility and energy sectors, focused squarely on enhancing convenience and peace of mind throughout the ownership journey.
Echoing this sentiment, Saumitra P. Srivastava, Director (Marketing), Indian Oil Corporation Limited, highlighted Indian Oil’s commitment to enriching customer experiences at its fuel stations through value-added services. With its expansive national footprint, Indian Oil is uniquely positioned to bring essential automotive services closer to consumers, and partnering with Maruti Suzuki allows the company to complement its energy offerings with world-class vehicle maintenance.
In practical terms, this means fewer special trips to service centres, less time spent waiting, and more time on the road—exactly where Maruti Suzuki customers prefer to be. If topping up fuel was already a habit, adding car servicing to the same stop might just be the next logical step in India’s evolving mobility story.
