Kia India Signs Off 2025 in Style: Best-Ever December, Triple-Digit Growth and a 2.8-Lakh-Unit Milestone

New Delhi:
If December had a trophy cabinet, Kia India would be clearing space. The mass-premium carmaker wrapped up Calendar Year (CY) 2025 with a record-breaking flourish—posting its best-ever December wholesales of 18,659 units, a thumping 105% year-on-year jump over December 2024. The year’s full-time scorecard looks just as healthy: 280,286 units, up 15% from 245,000 units in CY 2024.

In short, Kia didn’t just end the year strong—it ended it with a sprint, a smile, and a very busy delivery bay.

December Delight, Year-Long Consistency

The final month of 2025 turned out to be Kia’s personal victory lap. Strong customer sentiment, sharper retail execution, and a product mix that hit the right notes helped the brand post its highest December volume since inception—proof that when buyers shop with confidence, Kia’s showroom lights stay on late.

Sonet Leads the Charge (Again)

Among the brand’s star performers, the Sonet once again stole the spotlight by crossing the 100,000-unit sales milestone for the second consecutive year—no small feat in India’s fiercely competitive compact SUV space. The Seltos provided steady support, while Carens, Carens Clavis, and the Carens Clavis EV added fresh momentum. At the premium end, the Carnival Limousine and EV6 kept drawing discerning buyers who prefer their luxury with a side of innovation.

What Drove the Growth

According to Atul Sood, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, 2025 was defined by strategic product introductions, trim optimisation across high-volume models, and continuous improvements in sales, service, and customer engagement—all aided by favourable macro conditions and a consumer-friendly GST framework. Translation: smart decisions, timely updates, and fewer reasons for customers to hesitate.

Ready for 2026

Looking ahead, the New Seltos is expected to play a pivotal role in 2026, supported by consistent performers like the Sonet and the expanding Carens family. If 2025 was about consolidation and momentum, 2026 is shaping up to be about acceleration—with control.

Wider Reach, Stronger Roots

Beyond products and volumes, Kia also strengthened its nationwide presence in CY 2025, expanding to 821 touchpoints across 369 cities. That’s more doors, more service bays, and fewer “nearest dealership is 200 km away” conversations—always a win.

With a solid foundation, a refreshed and diversified portfolio, and a clear roadmap, Kia India enters 2026 in confident form. Profitable, responsible, and sustainable growth remains the focus—though if December’s performance is any indication, the brand won’t mind celebrating a few more milestones along the way.

Because when the year ends with record numbers, the New Year begins with even bigger expectations—and Kia seems ready to meet them.
