New Delhi: Honda Cars India Ltd. has wrapped up calendar year 2025 with a steady and confident finish, reporting total sales of 8,159 units in December 2025. The figure includes 5,807 units sold in the domestic market, marking a 3.6% year-on-year growth, along with 2,352 units exported, underscoring the brand’s balanced performance across home and overseas markets.
The December numbers suggest that Honda’s engines are humming nicely as the year turns—without revving too hard. The positive momentum has largely been driven by the post GST 2.0 environment, which appears to have put some extra fuel into customer sentiment. Models such as the Amaze, City, and Elevate continued to play key roles, ensuring Honda stayed relevant in both the sedan and SUV conversations.
Commenting on the performance, Kunal Behl, Vice President – Marketing & Sales at Honda Cars India, said the company ended December on a strong note, carrying forward the optimism built over recent months. He added that demand remained healthy across the portfolio and hinted that 2026 could be a busy year, with multiple product launches lined up to keep showrooms buzzing.
For perspective, Honda had recorded 5,603 domestic sales and 3,857 export units in December 2024. While exports saw a moderation this year, stronger domestic demand helped keep the overall scoreboard respectable—proving once again that consistency can sometimes be just as valuable as outright volume.
As the calendar flips to 2026, Honda appears quietly confident rather than flashy—content with steady gains today, while preparing to bring new products tomorrow. In a market known for sudden accelerations, Honda’s approach seems clear: smooth driving, minimal drama, and eyes firmly on the long road ahead.
