Maruti Suzuki Shifts Gears into Smart Tech: Invests in AI Mobility Startup Ravity Software Solutions

New Delhi — India’s largest automaker is proving it’s not just about horsepower anymore — it’s about brainpower too. Maruti Suzuki India Limited has announced an investment of nearly ₹2 crore in Ravity Software Solutions Private Limited, a Bengaluru-based startup specializing in connected mobility insights. Through this move, Maruti Suzuki picks up a 7.84% equity stake, marking its third investment under the Maruti Suzuki Innovation Fund.

After all, in 2025, even cars need intelligence that goes beyond knowing when to honk.

Driving Data, Not Just Cars

Ravity Software Solutions builds AI-driven platforms that turn vehicle data into actionable insights — think of it as a digital mechanic that never sleeps. For Maruti Suzuki, this partnership represents another pit stop in its journey to make ownership experiences more connected, predictive, and, of course, customer-centric.

This is the automaker’s third bet on startups, following similar investments in Amlgo Labs (March 2024) and Sociograph Solutions (June 2022) — both part of its strategy to blend homegrown innovation with its massive industrial scale.

CEO’s Take: Innovation with Indian Roots

Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, explained,

“Startups bring agility, fresh thinking, and cutting-edge solutions. Our investment in Ravity will enable us to elevate customer experience through data-driven insights. We’re investing not just in software — but in a culture of innovation aligned with the Government’s ‘Startup India’ mission.”

Or, in simpler terms — if your car could text you before it breaks down, Maruti wants to make sure it sends the message in perfect grammar.

Ravity’s Response: The Honor of the Highway

Vikas Rungta, Founder of Ravity Software Solutions, said,

“It’s an honour to partner with Maruti Suzuki, a brand that put India on wheels. The collaboration reflects their humility and forward-thinking mindset. With our expertise in AI and analytics, we aim to redefine customer experience alongside them.”

He added that Ravity’s agility and Maruti’s scale make for a perfect mix — like fitting Formula 1 telemetry into your family hatchback.

Innovation Fund: From Garage to Global Grid

Launched to strengthen Maruti Suzuki’s innovation pipeline, the Innovation Fund seeks out startups working on advanced analytics, mobility solutions, and sustainable technologies. By blending startup energy with its manufacturing legacy, Maruti Suzuki continues to push India’s automotive future toward smarter, safer, and more data-driven roads.

Because let’s face it — in a world where your refrigerator can send selfies, it’s only fair your car should know when it needs an oil change.
