Over 1,300 young learners step into Nissan workshops across India for a hands-on automotive experience
New Delhi: Nissan Motor India celebrated Children’s Day with a refreshing twist this year — by handing over the workshop floor to young minds instead of mechanics. Under its nationwide initiative “Nissan Little Champs,” the company hosted an immersive, interactive learning experience for children aged 10–15 years across Nissan service centres in India.
More than 1,300 children from Nissan families participated, each getting a close-up look at the world of cars — minus the grease stains, of course.

A Day for Young Explorers
The objective was simple: spark curiosity, decode the basics of automobiles, and let children peek into the behind-the-scenes magic that keeps Nissan cars running smoothly.
Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said,
“At Nissan, we believe curiosity fuels innovation. ‘Nissan Little Champs’ was designed to bring children closer to the world of automobiles in a safe, engaging, and meaningful way. It was our way of celebrating Children’s Day while strengthening our bond with Nissan families.”
Three Learning Modules, One Big Adventure
The program was divided into three kid-friendly sessions:
1. “Do You Know?” — Car Basics 101
A hands-on introduction to engines, brakes, tyres, and all the parts children often hear adults complain about. Visual aids ensured learning stayed fun and not textbook-heavy.
2. “Know Your Nissan” — Brand Discovery
Participants explored Nissan’s global heritage, car safety tools, innovations, and quirky brand trivia — the kind that’s perfect for impressing friends later.
3. “Walk Around” — Inside the Service World
A guided tour of the workshop and a close look at the Nissan Magnite allowed kids to understand real-world car servicing — from inspection bays to paint booths, all under strict safety supervision.
Certificates, Goodies & Endless Smiles
The event wrapped up with certificates, Nissan-branded goodies, and group photos — because no Children’s Day is complete without a take-home souvenir (or ten). Parents were involved throughout, making it a family learning experience rather than a drop-and-go workshop.
A Legacy of Child-Focused CSR
Nissan Motor India continues to actively support child welfare.
- In partnership with Smile Train India, Nissan facilitated 290 free cleft surgeries for underprivileged children in FY23.
- With The Akshaya Patra Foundation, Nissan helped provide over 50 lakh nutritious meals to 49,000 government school students across Delhi.
These initiatives underline Nissan’s commitment to giving children access to nutrition, healthcare, and meaningful learning opportunities — both inside and outside the classroom.
Magnite’s Safety Milestone
Meanwhile, the New Nissan Magnite continues its strong show in the B-SUV segment with a 5-star Global NCAP rating for Adult Occupant Protection. With bold design, 55+ safety features, and class-leading innovations, the Magnite remains a key pillar in Nissan’s ‘One Car, One World’ strategy — now reaching over 65 countries.
The company is also gearing up for the launch of its new global C-SUV, the Nissan Tekton, arriving next year in India before heading to international markets.
Driving the Future, One Child at a Time
With “Nissan Little Champs,” the company has not only celebrated Children’s Day but also planted the seeds for the next generation of engineers, designers, and auto enthusiasts — and perhaps a few future Nissan CEOs. After all, every big dream begins with a curious question.
