Kia Carens Clavis Gets a Lineup Lift — New Trim, Six-Seater Options Join the Family Wagon Parade

Because when India says “More space, more features!”, Kia says “HTX(O), coming right up!”

NEW DELHI: Kia India, known for mixing sharp design with sensible innovation, has expanded the Carens Clavis lineup — and this time, the popular recreational vehicle (RV) is getting both a tech-savvy new HTX(O) trim and multiple six-seater variants to keep modern Indian families comfy, connected, and chauffeur-ready.

📈 The Expansion Play: More Trims, More Flexibility

The Carens Clavis range now boasts eight trims, with the fresh HTX(O) variant slotted neatly above HTX. Priced at ₹19,26,717 (ex-showroom), this new trim brings premium goodies like the BOSE 8-Speaker Premium Sound System, Drive Mode Select, Smart Key Remote Engine Start, and Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold — essentially making road trips sound better, feel smoother, and start smarter.

Responding to strong customer demand (read: “We want captain seats!”), Kia has also rolled out six-seater options in the HTK+, HTK+(O), and HTX(O) trims across turbo-petrol and diesel automatic powertrains. Now, whether it’s grandparents in the second row or kids bouncing in the third, there’s a Carens Clavis for every seating permutation.

🛋️ Cabin Comfort Meets Tech Theatre

Inside, the Carens Clavis continues its mission of being India’s unofficial ‘luxury lounge on wheels’. The second row slides, reclines, and tumbles electrically for seamless third-row access, while the panoramic 26.62” dual display panel delivers both infotainment and driver info in one slick sweep. Add in 64-color ambient lighting and the BOSE setup, and suddenly your family outing feels like a premium OTT binge — minus the buffering.

🧠 Safety, Smartness, and Some Serious Tech

Under the hood and all around the cabin, Kia hasn’t skimped on brains and brawn. The Carens Clavis packs Level 2 ADAS with 20 autonomous features, six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill-start Assist Control, and Rear Occupant Alert, among others — because the only drama allowed on family trips is about which playlist to play.

Meanwhile, Kia Connect ensures owners stay in control via remote access, real-time tracking, and over-the-air updates. Translation: the future is here, and it comes with captain seats.

🧑‍💼 Official Word

“Our customers inspire every innovation we make,” said Atul Sood, Sr. VP and National Head, Sales and Marketing, Kia India. “With this expansion, we’ve added not just a new trim but a new layer of choice for families. Whether it’s tech, comfort, or seating configurations, the Carens Clavis now has a perfect fit for everyone.”

🏁 Availability

The expanded Carens Clavis lineup will roll into Kia showrooms nationwide starting October 13, 2025. With eight trims, three engine options, and a buffet of configurations, Kia seems determined to make “family road trips” feel more like “first-class departures.”
