New Delhi:
The Italians have arrived — and they’ve brought carbon fibre, butterfly doors, and a price tag that could make even Delhi’s real estate blush. Maserati has officially unveiled the MC20 Cielo “MCPura” in India, marking the ultra-exclusive supercar’s first appearance in the country. In true Maserati fashion, the launch was accompanied by the inauguration of a new flagship showroom in New Delhi — because when you unleash a 630 PS V6 beast with Formula 1 tech, you need a suitably glamorous garage to keep it in.

🏎 The Star of the Show: MCPura
After making its global debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and stunning the elite at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, the MCPura has now touched down in India. Available in both coupé and Cielo (convertible) versions, it features four show-off-worthy highlights:
- A carbon-fibre monocoque so light the car weighs under 1,500 kg.
- Maserati’s patented 3.0-litre Nettuno V6 twin-turbo, pushing out 630 PS and 720 Nm of torque — that’s 0-100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, or about the time it takes to blink at a red light in South Delhi.
- Signature Butterfly doors, because regular doors are for hatchbacks.
- A party-trick retractable PDLC glass roof that turns from opaque to transparent in a second — perfect for Delhi’s unpredictable “sunshine or smog” mornings.
This mechanical opera is handcrafted in Modena, Italy, in Maserati’s historic Viale Ciro Menotti plant — where artisans and engineers work side by side to turn raw carbon into road-legal art. Even the paintwork of Fuoriserie editions is done in-house, because the Italians don’t outsource beauty.
🏢 New Delhi Gets a Maserati Makeover
Alongside the car, Maserati opened a state-of-the-art 1,100 sq. m facility at Mohan Cooperative Industrial Estate, operated by DPS Motors LLP. This new retail hub boasts:
- Four-car display zone
- Six workshop bays
- Dedicated wash bay
- A client experience area where you can spec your Maserati while pretending you’re at the Monaco GP paddock.
“This marks not only a new chapter for the brand in India but also a regional milestone,” said Philippe Claverol, Head of Maserati Overseas Region. “It’s the first showroom in the region to showcase MCPura — proof that Delhi knows how to make an entrance.”
Dealer Principal Dilmohan Singh added, “Our growth is a response to India’s appetite for Italian design and performance. This showroom brings Maserati’s elegance and power closer to our refined clientele.” Translation: Delhi NCR just got a lot louder and a lot faster.
💸 Price Tag: Not for the Faint-Hearted
- MCPura Coupé – ₹ 4.12 Crore (ex-showroom)
- MCPura Cielo – ₹ 5.12 Crore (ex-showroom)
Options extra, emotions included.
With MCPura’s arrival and a glitzy new showroom, Maserati is making its intentions clear: India is no longer a quiet stop on the supercar map — it’s centre stage. And if you hear something that sounds like thunder on the Delhi–Agra Expressway, don’t panic. It’s probably just a Nettuno V6 stretching its legs.
